  • Go ahead and KEEP looking at the photos....then you'll see what we see - you are definitely showing the weight loss, particularly in your face. Fifty pounds is a huge accomplishment - I hope to follow in your footsteps
  • You look GREAT!!! Don't be "sorry" about the big pictures - when you've had that much success the pictures SHOULD be huge because you should be so proud and show it off  Way to go!!!!
  • How excellent!!! The neat thing about your weight loss is you have such a great shape - look how much you come in at the waist now! That's the perfect hour-glass figure! Your face looks fantastic, too! Congrats!!
  • I started on Sunday and have done 3 days so far...planning to do the week 1 again on Thurs and Friday, off Saturday, and move to week 2 on Sunday 4/17. So far, I really like it! It's not been easy, but it is SO encouraging to be able to do this three times now! Here's a link to another thread with some really great,…
  • Agreed - the post mentioned above is VERY inspiring. See if when you look at her photos you see a bit of yourself there. The best thing you can do for yourself is go and see your physician. Ler her/him check you out, run some blood work....be honest with them about what you're eating and what your activity level/exercises…
  • Wow, your weight loss is fantastic, but running an 8 mile race....that's incredible!!!! What an accomplishment! Congrats on BOTH!
  • Like Cheryl, I'm one of the lucky ones who spent several years in home health working a 8-4:30 M-F (mostly) schedule. Now I'm self employed doing audits and coding in home health. I work from home, so it's very easy to eat whenever I want, and boy, do I want! I work more hours now, and find I want to eat more if I get too…
  • W1D3 completed - YEAH! I'm planning to do 2 more of the W1's on Thurs & Friday. I'll take Saturday off and then attempt W2 on Sunday. I'm not finding the running feels any 'easier' yet, so I'm hoping the jump to a longer run next week will be doable for me. My daughter went with me for the last 2 runs (19 years old) and…
  • I see next to your posting that you've only made 6 posts since you joined MFP....geez, when you do post you sure now how to do it right!!!! Your success is nothing short of incredible. You know how you said for you the best thing is the small underwear? The best thing to me about your post is your great sense of humor!!!!…
  • Very well said! Being healthy is what is the most imporant thing for all of us. It's so easy to lose sight of that and focus on the visible instead of the more important things...physical fitness, good nutrition, emotional health and well being. I'm most proud of you that you can look at your photo at your lowest point and…
  • You could not possibly look any more amazing or more beautiful!!!! There are 19 pages of comments that say it all - thanks so much for sharing and inspiring us all (look at that smile on your hubby-he's one lucky guy!!!)
  • You're really losing at a good pace, and it's amazing the transformation! You must be doing a lot of exercise to have such great results. Be very proud!!!!
  • Thanks much for the support and encouragement. I started on Sunday 4/10 and also ran today. I'm working with a weight loss physician and she wants to see me doing cardio 5 days a week. I'm thinking of 3 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 1 day off...and then up to the next week/level. I'm one of those people who NEVER ran…
  • Thanks to everyone who posted-your replys are very encouraging. I did Day 1 today and was surpirsed I was able to do this. Reading about others who started out very out of shape and with a decent amount of weight to lose makes me feel like I'll be able to get through this program. I always worried that my body wouldn't let…
  • Ready...Set...Go!!! I'm in at 201 for the USA. See you next Saturday :)
  • I love this idea! Between my calcium pills and all this weight I've been carrying, I shouldn't have to worry about osteoporosis until I'm at least 100 years old! Thanks for the day-brightening thought:smile:
  • I walked my 3 dogs for 20 minutes and I exercised my fingers on the keyboard to find a good store specializing in running shoes so I can start my Couch25K this weekend :)

  • Try Googling "isometric workout" and there are lots of sites with information. It can give you a great starting point...I'd also try the library for a book on the topic...can't get any more cost-effective than that!
  • Better watch out for the police...with the way you "killed the body" at the gym you could be arrested for murder!!!! Seriously, you look soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!
  • You look better than amazing, and it's inspiring for me. I'm 5'9" and it's nice to see someone near my height that looks fantastic at 175lbs. I always feel like I'll need to hit such a low number on the scale to look good, but your example shows it's all about the muscle and toning....and a SIZE FOUR....dare I dream such a…
  • You look fantastic! 60lbs required a lot of effort - kudos to you!!!
  • This was very helpful - Thanks for posting and to the author for their time in detailing the information!
  • BUMP - Going shopping this weekend for (real) running shoes, support bra, and HRM....I'm taking the plunge and learning to run. Couch to 5Ksounds like a great option, but I'd like an HRM to track things. I appreciate any addtional ideas/comments!
  • *BURP* ... Sorry, I got to it first!
  • Had my daughter take it for you - she's a student. Good luck with your paper and school!
  • Keep working you're way through the site...there's a lot of motivational posts/pictures on here that are very helpful. It's amazing to see how many thousands of times some posts are viewed. There are a lot of us out there all in the same boat paddling upstream, but we'll get there!

  • Thanks to everyone for your input - very helpful!!! Here's hoping I look like the poster girl for strength training in a few months!
  • This is exceptionally good advice. My husband chose to leave after about 13 years. Someone else had mentioned the sense of rejection, and that is a very painful thing. I made the mistake of trying to be tough and took the attitude of, "Okay, if you don't want to be with me that's fine...I'll find someone who does." In…
  • That's a GREAT progress picture! Your abs are looking fantastic - are you working on those in particular or did that all happen through running?
  • WOWOWQWOWOW!!!!! Could you look any more beautiful? NO!!!!! Seriously, you look fantastic and should be so proud of yourself!
