I trade off either a protein shake made with light almond milk or a smoothie with light yogurt and fruit (sometimes a smoothie with peanut butter)

I have the Fitbit flex and I agree with above posters - Fitbit is for 24/7.

Count me in!

Prosecutors Office here - goodies about in every crevice of our workplace. I allow myself to eat out for lunch only once a week and it does help. I bring my own snacks because planning is essential for me. My co-workers have the candy dishes but when there was 100 days until summer I vowed to not take anything from these…

I agree with many of the posts. I have juggled with weight issues for many years and this time I feel something has just clicked. I am not getting any younger and couldn't put off until tomorrow to make this lifestyle change. That is just it - it's a lifestyle change. Yes I still have my sweets but I have become…

WOW! That is fantastic - thanks for sharing! I must add that I smiled when I saw that your feet have shrunk  My feet have grown since I took up running.

We just finished a 5 week Biggest Loser Challenge and I was tickled to be among the winners  One of my challenges for the 100 days was to exercise 10-15 minutes each morning and I have to admit I have failed on weekends.

I agree with sims2013 with the Facebook comment. Social media does hold you more accountable. I know you are accountable to no one but yourself but when people see the changes in your lifestyle and appearance on your wall they offer encouragement to keep you from falling off the wagon. My goal is to hit my goal by the end…

I would love to join. I have 14 more for my personal goal and 34 more for the doctors goal lol. Pleas add me.

Wow that is amazing it s taken me 23 months to lost 103. Keep up the good work!

I would like to offer the following suggestions (steps) and maybe you have completed some already: 1. Try smaller size burger than normal 1. Have your burger without the bun 2. Switch to ground turkey I too am at a plateau and I continually tell myself I won't go back. If you don't make changes to the type and amount of…

Any progress is progress. I have also hit a wall but I refuse to go back. The scale is not my judge. Keep working an the results will come.

It is the Fitbit Force that has been recalled - not the Flex

MFP as well as my fitbit app help to keep me in line more than Curves of WW ever have. I agee with above comment though to not get too excited about the five week prediction.

I agree with MinniInMaine also. It is hard for me to take a day off but if I do, I try to do a more leisurely activity.

I have been at this awhile so this required some thought  Giving up: 1. Evening snacks 2. Stay out of co-workers candy bowl 3. Red meat (only allowed twice a week) Adding: 1. Exercise in the morning at least 10-15 minutes a day 2. Get up every hour from my desk at work even to stretch or march in place 3. Don't use…

I am almost there myself - thanks for sharing. Congrats to you!!

I have been using the fitbit flex since November 1, 2013. I love mine because I get a more realistic view of the calories burned in my day. I can't speak for the other but I feel mine was worth the investment. I have had issues with it but they send a complete new unit each time. If you have the $100 I would do it again in…

I have a desk job but I make sure to exercise everyday between 1-2 hours a day. I prefer mornings but sometimes it's during my lunch and after work. I have alarms set on my phone to get up and move every hour. Every little bit helps. Good luck!!

MFP is too generous with calories burned
-
You can find other websites that will give you calories burned based on weight. I don't believe 'machines' are correct because weight isn't a factor when the number is given. I love my fitbit flex and it is a tool that I just can't live without.

Great job - thanks for sharing!!

C25K is the way to go. The app has helped me tremendously. I never thought I would run again

I burn between 2600-3200 calories a day and depending on he day I eat 1000 calories less than what I burn to get a 1-2 pound loss per week.
-
It is possible that you weren't eating enough. You could be burning way more calories consumed and therefore your body goes into starvation mode. That tip came from a nutritionist.

I have definitely changed my plan and my exercise routine frequently just to jumpstart things again. I have learned to deal with a smaller choice of clothes until I reach my goal weight. I have been shopping clearance sales for the last 1 1/2 years on this journey. I recently had my wedding rings sized after they fell off…
