I do a little bit of upper body. I'm actually trying to strengthen my legs and knees more because I have dislocating kneecaps, and they're high on my list to work out, so I don't do a whole lot of upper body, but I'm going to have to, just to get something in.

Sigh... he's geeky dreamy :) I LOVE HIM!!!

So funny that you guys mentioned this! I just saw this today on a new site I'm checking out: http://www.katheats.com/everything-cooker

Thanks so much for your input! I really appreciate it! I'm just so frustrated because I wanna work out, I wanna walk the trails, I wanna get on the elliptical.... but I can't do a thing. I can't even really do the laundry because I can't carry the heavy loads up and down the stairs. A load takes me a day and a half to do:…

The strange thing is that there's no visible signs of injury. No bruise, no swelling, nothing. My husband said for me to wait another week, and then call to make a follow up with the family doc, and ask what else I can do. This is hindering just doing simple things, like walking, and going up and down stairs, which is bad…

I was just told to stay off until the pain subsided, and take ibuprofen, max of 800mg 3 times a day. Nothing was said about heat or ice. I was kinda baffled why I wasn't recommended to a podiatrist....

I'll try my best, but I'm betting I'm not going to even get into the double digit range!! :) Great challenge!!!

Anyone? :(

I normally eat them, but if I'm not hungry, I'm just not hungry. Granted, I rarely burn a "holy cow" amount of calories, but still.... if I get home, and as long as I've still netted 1200 calories for the day, I'm happy.

Wow. I did a cartwheel last year for the first time since I was 18. Holy shnikes. There's a time in your life where your feet shouldn't go over your head.... it scared the hell out of me. But I was surprised I could still do it! :) I'm going to scream from my front porch (in my very rural area) that I finally did it, and…

"You get the oreos, I'll bring the milk" (Said after showing a coworker the AMAZING tool "the dipr". I want one so freaking bad, but I don't because I'll eat oreos constantly.)

Baked chicken breast (seasoned only with s & p), some homemade cilantro lime rice, and some black bean and corn salsa to top it.

When I drink, I'm usually at a bar with friends and listening to the band, and dancing. I like to call that "drunken cardio."

I almost didn't have a good time at the bar last Saturday..... it was my first time going drinking in a WHILE (maybe 4 months), and all day, I was thirsty, so I had drank my water, like a good girl. By the time I got to the bar, I had about 10 glasses of water down. First drink in: I had to pee. And pee I did. I was going…

Thank you all so much for the kind words!!!! I am the proudest wife, especially when my husband says he's eaten foods that people know he doesn't like!!! And he's really proud of himself because he always whips out his drivers license (renewed last January), and you can see all the weight he's lost in his face and neck.

LMAO....I guess I shouldn't tell you we've been together for 7 years.... and it only took 6 years for him to let me screw with this mind like that!! LOL!!! Those things he eats... can they be made healthier? Like instead of store bought chicken nuggets, make them at home with chicken tenders, panko, and egg whites? I've…

YUM!!! I Love to see everyone's recipes and how they vary from person to person. I just tried some Hummus made from roasted eggplant at New Years. It was HEAVEN! I couldn't believe it!!!! Thanks for Sharing!!!!

OMG I SWEAT!!! Like, "dont even bother doing your hair because it's going to look like you ran 15 minutes on the elliptical when you're at the bar" kind of sweat! LOL!!!

Not alone, sister!!! :) I can take about 3 sips of wine, and I feel a relaxing feeling in my legs, my face gets hot, and I get a heat rash on my chest. Yeah, I can't hide drinking :) LOL

I have to agree with this. This is really hard, especially since my house is on a very tight budget. We HAVE had to sacrifice a lot (whether it's fatter ground beef instead of the leaner, roma tomatoes instead of the beefsteak ones, etc).... and a couple of times, we've had ramen noodles for dinner because it's really hard…

I have two: in 2005, my husband (boyfriend at the time) kept gloating that he got me the best present ever. I rolled my eyes every time, thinking it was just candies, flowers, etc. Well, Valentines came, and I wanted my gift. He got his gift (my first ever scrapbook that I've attempted, and it had pictures of us and…

It's not embarrassing, but I love going to Radio Controlled Heli and Airplane fun flies. There's two huge ones in Muncie Indiana every year: XFC (airplanes and helis) in June, and the biggest worldwide Heli Fun fly, IRCHA, in August. I love taking pictures of the pilots and their gear. Quite a few times, the sponsored…

Agreed! Why even post if what you think will irritate someone???? How is that going to make things better???

I drink enough to where I almost wet my pants walking the 5-minute hike to the bathroom here at work. That's how I know I've gotten to my limit :) That's usually around glass 10 or 11.

So many ways..... so little time to share it with you :) If I'm not making a lite tuna salad (with light miracle whip, some mustard, and s &p), I'm just putting a drizzle of a little olive oil on it, some s&p, and putting it over arugula, and shaving some parmesan cheese over it. My problem is actually getting to eat it in…

My father used to say this to me all of the time, but he was an alcoholic, who was 5'11' and 125lbs when he died. I would always just shrug my shoulders and say that I was happy being who I was, and when I was ready to lose the weight, I would. Too bad he isn't around to see my progress so far.... It just really sucks that…

Thanks so much everyone, for sharing your stories and support! My strep throat has come quicker now that I'm older. I'll be at work, at 4pm, totally fine, and by 6pm, my tonsils will be so swollen that it's hard to breathe, almost impossible to swallow water, and I'm rushing to the ER to get medical help because I'm afraid…

Oh, I'm the negative Nancy. That way, I'm not surprised when everything goes bad :) Yeah, it's a bad way to think about things, but I'm never really disappointed that way. I had a friend who had hers done at age 40, and her doctor tried to give her Vicodin in pill form. She swore up and down that she couldn't swallow a…

Is it bad that I fully admit that I wasn't scared for my lap band surgery, but I'm actually pretty scared for this surgery? I guess I'm afraid about possible post-surgery bleeding, and I don't know what I'd do if I'm alone and it happens.
