Here is a good web page I found: http://www.weightlossforall.com/benefits-water-drinking.htm#b :flowerforyou:

Yes. You eat your exercise calories...that is why they add them back. You need to NET at least 1200 calories a day. So if you start out at 1200 and exercise and burn 300 your net calories would be 900. Therefore, you have 300 calories added back to your target calorie intake in order to net 1200 calories for the day. I…

That is within the RDA. http://www.caloriesperhour.com/tutorial_ratios.php

I wear my heart rate monitor when I do Zumba on the Wii and I burn much fewer calories than the above site calculated. It was about 350 calories over what I actually burn. I think using a HRM is the best way to go. It is really the only way you can truly know what you are burning. The figures given on MFP and other sites…

I do Zumba on the Wii. It goes from beginner to expert. It has workout from 20 minutes to almost an hour. It is a great workout. I am not comfortable going to Zumba classes in front of a crowd yet. I really enjoy being able to do it in the privacy of my own living room. I burn about 300-400 calories in a 45 minute session.…

Yep...it is like @wonder said. You do it one ingredient at a time. However, if it is a sandwich you eat on a regular basis you can save it under "my meals" and it will be there for you to select in the future...so you don't have to look up each ingredient every time you eat it. I hope this helps.

I eat veggie straws. They are becoming more and more popular. You can get them at Wal-Mart, Sam's, Meijer's, and Aldi's where I live (Indiana). They remind me of a cross between chips and french fries. They are shaped like little straws. 38 of them make up a serving and that is only 130 calories. They come in veggie w/ sea…

I invested in a heart rate monitor. It is the most accurate way of tracking how many calories you burn. It is set to your specific weight, age, and height. One with a chest strap is most accurate. It is the best investment I have made since I started this. Going by the figures in MFP's database is just going to be an…

The best thing to do is invest in a heart rate monitor to track how many calories you burn during a given session. It is the only way to be 100% accurate. A HRM is an awesome tool to invest in when you are trying to lose weight. Best of luck on your weight loss.

Are you serious?? You don't need to lose any weight. I think you knew the answer to that question before you ever asked it.

I have a Polar FT4. It was affordable and its easy to use. It does everything I need it to do. It has a chest strap so it is super accurate. It only cost $70. It stores your last 10 workout sessions so you can track your progress. It is even waterproof so you can use it in the pool.

Yes...when you lose weight you lose weight in your feet too!!

I loathe peanut butter! It makes me gag!! I can't even swallow it! I also loathe country music! It sounds like they are singing through a nosefull of rice crispies. That twangy sound makes my skin crawl.

Either don't track your protein or up your protein manually. I had to raise mine because MFP had it too low. Going in the red for protein is not a bad thing. Don't pay attention to the color of the numbers. Just don't go over on calories, carbs, fat, and sodium!

Depending on what cable TV company you have go to On Demand (or if you don't have cable go to exercisetv.com) and there are tons of different work out videos. They have everything from belly dancing to yoga, kick boxing to walking. I love it! It is great when you are stuck home with the kids or it is raining outside. Good…

That is within the Recommended Daily Allowance. My doctor and nutritionist had me set mine at Carbs: 45%, Protein 35% and fat 20%. Google "RDA" and it will show you what is normal for your age and sex. The default settings MFP suggested had the carbs too high and the protein too low.

I go to a "cardio splash" class at the Y and we do all kinds of upper and lower body strengthening. We do stuff from kick boxing to jogging in the pool. We also use aqua weights (they are equivalent to 20 pounds) to work our arms and upper body. We use the foam "noodles" to do crunches. It is a good workout. I don't know…

I was over estimating my calories too. Before I got my HRM I was going by MFP's exercise database figures. Most (not all) of them were way high! For example, MFP said for "swimming, general, leisure" you should burn 660 calories in an hour. After I got my Polar FT4 (can be used in a pool) I found out that I was only…

I got mine off of Amazon. It is a Polar FT4 and it was only $70. Make sure you get one with a chest strap...they are much more accurate. You don't have to get a real expensive and fancy one to get a good one. Look on Amazon. They are cheaper on there than they are in the stores. The shipping was free too.

I also have a Polar FT4. I always glance at my heart rate on the watch. My heart rate stays around 120 (I have a resting heart rate of only 54 and it is really hard for me to get my heart rate up). That is what it is when I check my pulse by hand. I use it in the pool for a "cardio splash" class and every time it measures…

NO!! It messes up the absorption of your foods. Also...what is going to happen when you stop taking it? If you don't learn to eat the right way you won't lose weight any way. You don't need to depend on a pill to lose weight. Alli isn't something you can take forever. However, a lifestyle change is forever. Go with the…

Not an Army wife...but a proud Army mom!! My son is on his first deployment to Afghanistan. He will be heading home July 26th. God bless each of you and I am so grateful for the sacrifices your husbands have made.

How many calories are you taking in a day? How many times are you eating a day. It is best for you to eat 6 times a day...3 meals and 3 snacks. You need to eat your exercise calories. You also need to make sure you are getting in your water. Eat plenty of fiber. It will really fill you up.

I've gotta try this!!

Invest in a heart rate monitor. That is the only way to be 100% sure you are recording your exercise calories accurately. They are very affordable and a great tool for weight loss. When I got mine I found that the figures in the exercise database on MFP were much higher than the figures on my HRM. I was eating back way too…

I have one. Yes, you have to wear the chest strap every time you record an exercise session. The chest strap fits me and my chest is 41inches. It is adjustable and most of the strap is stretchy. It is comfortable...it doesn't bother me when I wear it. It is a great HRM. I even wear mine in the pool. Very easy to use and…

You don't need some kind of diet. MFP is free! This is a lifestyle change. Not a diet. A diet has a beginning and an end. It is something that is temporary. You wouldn't do Jenny Craig, WW, or Slim Fast for the rest of your life. A lifestyle change is something you do for the rest of your life. You have to learn how to eat…

Make your food diary so we can see it. I'm sure people here could tell you if you're restricting too much. You have to gain her trust by showing her that you aren't restricting too much. Are you NETTING at least 1200 calories a day? You have to eat your exercise calories back...it is very important. Netting under 1200…
