I agree with going to a mirror and just getting out of your head during a binge. Fasting isn't a good idea right now. You're showing mindfulness just by posting so now just know that you're in control, not food.

Thank you! <3 Those were my first oysters and I really want some more! YUM!

Thanks, Dee!! I feel like myself now and so happy! I'm proud of how I look but that's less important than how I feel :) You'll do great!! It's never too late to change our lives :)!

thank you!! I love them, finally <3 I work out a lot which has really changed my shape! I lift weights usually 3 - 4 times a week, yoga every day, some times I run but not as much as I used to. I also used to bike a lot but it's not very cyclist friendly where I just moved!

:open_mouth: thank you!!!!!!

Thank you! I started in July 2013 so almost three years now. I hit the 75 pound mark around January, though! I started at 207 and I'm at 130 now and I'm 5'3"! I'm aiming for 125 but it's pretty slow going :)

Hi!! Just letting you know this is not how 5:2 works. You're supposed to eat at or near maintenance calories for 5 days and fast (500 calories) for the 2 days. Your deficit is only coming from the two fasting days. Averaging out what you're doing, that's 1000 calories a day, likely over 1000 calorie deficit every day- way…

Take away all of your excuses and be successful where ever you are! All you need is you!

If you're losing at a rate you like and you like your foods, it doesn't matter what we say. If/when you stop losing, you can readjust.

Try to be consistent for a while and see what your real calorie goal should be. Mfp and other calculators will just give you a rough guide. I definitely don't think filling in extra calories with a shake/cookies is a good idea, especially if you're not hungry. You could bank those calories for the weekend, or for when you…

Water! Like, a lot. It helps so much and makes you feel better, too.

Like someone said before, I eat super light through the day and eat most of my calories at dinner/before bed. I drink lots of water to stay full all day and rarely feel very hungry. I always go for veggies and eggs first and calorie dense things only at the end of the day if I can afford it.

While I do think it's psychological, I feel your pain. I'm here, too, and I have been for a while. I've been feeling unwilling to eat any less or workout any more/any harder- stubborn! For the last few weeks, I tried alternating maintenance calorie days with low calorie days. It seemed to help a little. Yesterday I did a…

lift some weights and good food :)

Yes, finally! It's a wonderful feeling. There's a huge mirror in front of the shower. I always tried to avoid it before but now I'm loving it!

It hard to sync everyone up. I eat when I'm hungry. I don't wait for anyone else to get hungry to eat with me. Sorry to them! If you really did want to eat with them, some veggies or something super light could help get you to someone else's meal time.

Awesome! I was so afraid to stop logging my food, but it's been fine so far! Congrats :)

I wouldn't spend ten days of my precious life being miserable. I've definitely juiced as part of my day (the were tasty, though!) but I couldn't/wouldn't do it all day for ten days. It doesn't have to be all or nothing :)

Whaaaaat?! Cray!

I used to log chinese food as 1000 calories and just move on. Depends on what you ate though. For me, I went for the rice and orange chicken. You could have done better than me, though!

I would do the same thing. I would add in some more protein and fats for snacks. With your baby carrots, have some hummus, nuts or avocado... or another boiled egg. Steamed veggies will fill you up, too. You could have them at breakfast or when you get home and you'll be too full to binge. 1200 is super low for losing 30…

I agree... nothing you can do about it, really, so worrying doesn't help. It is what it is! It probably won't be terrible and it depends on where you carry your weight. My arms ended up being terribly saggy (it was humiliating to me!) so I got them "fixed" and the rest of me is easier for me to deal with. My thighs are…

I saved tons of money by eating healthier foods. You can totally do it :)
-
Try sticking to serving sizes. I really recommend weighing/logging at least for a few weeks, but it could help you to just lower your portions for now. You'll likely see faster results from weighing your foods, though.

Love these! Here are mine: -Never eat mindlessly (while driving, watching TV, etc.) -No unplanned splurges like free food. I've been known to have people taste test them for me and tell me if it's "worth it" and if so, I take some for the next day or when I can afford the calories  -Exercise every day, even if it's…

I'm a beginner, too, but I think you might be squatting too much weight. I experience the same thing and lowered my weight for now.
-
Agreed, they don't need any sugar. The banana should work but it's not necessary.
-
I would try the 1600 and if you're hungry, add back your exercise calories. How strenuous is your route to/from work? Unless you're biking far across town on this route and getting around town, I wouldn't add too much back in. If it's a lot of hill climbing and you're pushing yourself for most of those 17 miles, I would…

Hi Melissa! Yes, I always did. My range was 185 - 200 when I was just living "normally" back then. For as long as I can remember, that's how it was. Then I went to the doctor once and I was 207 and somehow that really got me to realize this isn't okay for my short (5'3") body. When I started losing, it came of pretty…

Yes, being gone from home for any stretch of time is rough for me! I bring a small cooler and so much food on days I know I won't be home for a while. It looks a little silly, but I only eat my food, so whatever! It's also really hard to not slip back into old habits. So many times, I've found out the hard way that they…
