Definitely switch those lunches and other processed stuff, like the fiber bars, and eat veggies and fruits. Leafy greens should help you and have some beans :) maybe a (natural, mild) laxative is in order just for a few days to get things going.

Textured vegetable protein is a go to at our house. Lots of protein, 150 calories for half a cup dry. Hummus, beans, nut butters, coconut cream... yum. We're so limited lol

Beans and potatoes, lentils, stir fry, spaghetti/zoodles with sauce and tvp or meatless balls, veggies and rice, veggie soup, potato soup. Could go all day!

Dresses and leggings, lady! Good luck :)

Don't give up :)

The scale is way down on the list of tools for me. Thinking about getting rid of it!! Great work :)

Can't wait to see what six more months brings!

Same weight :)

You could just take whole fruit/veggies! I love overnight oats for anytime. Hummus, crackers, nuts.

I used to think the same thing, but it isn't true. It's a myth :) http://freefromharm.org/health-nutrition/vegan-doctor-addresses-soy-myths-and-misinformation/

Thank god vegan tacos and nachos are amazing!! That's what I eat 90% of the time!
-
Vegan here! I need more veg friends :)

I agree about saving calories for this, but I also think breaking the cycle helps too. It helps me when I over come the craving and I know that I'm stronger than a piece of chocolate or whatever... then after a few days either the feeling goes away or I leave room for it. Food shouldn't be in charge, we are :) good luck!

It's pretty much gonna be high carb from all the fruits and veggies which is just fine. I would definitely keep the highly processed vegan stuff to a minimum (cheese and meat substitutes) and stick to whole foods and you'll be fine. I'm likely close to the 80:10:10 but I really don't mind macros any more. Good luck :)

I stop at grocery stores instead of fast food places. Good chance to take a break, stretch my legs and get some real food. Takes just as much time overall, and saves tons of money. When I get to where I'm going, I buy food for my stay and don't go out to eat much (because anything they can make, I can make better! Hahaha…

How long has it been? Sorry if I missed that somewhere. :) Hopefully it levels out soon! I'm glad you're not stressed about it- it doesn't help. (Swapping foods out helps for me, btw)

You'll lose with more calories, just at a slower (more sustainable!) rate. We all want something as fast as possible, but it best to be slow and steady for long term results. How do you feel on 1200? Are you weighing your foods? I'm happiest sticking to fruits and veggies because I can eat so much, volume wise, and never…

For the sweets: eat fruit! It helps me a lot. Just be careful, it has calories just like anything else. Pineapple and bananas are my daily snack, frozen grapes are great too

It's so strange how people want to share their opinions about other people's bodies and eating habits. We wouldn't really dream of asking an overweight person if they mean to keep gaining weight or if they know how bad that is for them (and society, but I digress). But yeah, just shut them down. Not their place to give…

You've gone through a huge change and it's going to take a while to change your thinking. I lost about 70+ pounds over 2.5 years and have been maintaining for about 6 months. My mindset still isn't where I'd like it to be, but it gets better. What helps me is to think about food as fuel, not good or bad. What can I eat to…

Is it close to your time of the month? I'm usually up a few pounds around mine. Your calorie goal could be too high. Maybe look into that and/or just reduce by 100 calories or so (or run/walk an extra mile). You could maybe swap the granola every other day to see what that does or have a total fruit/veg day to move the…

How much of a gain? Weight fluctuates every day do it could be normal fluctuations. Plus time of the month issues, bathroom habits, etc.

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks of you any where, about anything. Do what's best for you, always. Food is very intimate and it's only your business what goes into your body.
-
You're right. It's going to be really hard but it's going to be so worth it! Losing weight has helped me gain so many other "things"! Time will be passing by anyway... Might as well make it count.
-
I've lost almost 80# and I've never spent a penny on anything to lose weight :) if it will motivate you, great!

Exercise is great for you! Too much is not, but this doesn't sound like too much unless it's hurting your body or if your doctor says it's too much. That said, exercise doesn't do too much for weight loss. At least not as much as people like to think. As lon as you're eating the right amount of calories after your surgery,…

I'd go a few more pounds down so you have some wiggle room. That's my plan, at least. And I would up your calories until you're at/under goal for a few weeks. I fluctuate down so pretty often so I want to make sure it's a real loss before upping my calories. Good luck :)
-
I'm probably wrong, but I've heard some foods can help. Brazil nuts?
-
It's so sad that we talk to ourselves this way. Would you ever let anyone talk about you like that? Would your fiancé talk to you that way? I agree with the others... Losing weight won't make you happy. You've got to love yourself in what ever shape you're in now. Take a walk and think about how great you are.

When I feel that coming on, I find something to be busy with. Start cleaning, go for a walk/run, take a shower, anything. I also some times just go look in the mirror and it helps me get out of my head a little.
