I love coconut milk :)

Great work so far :) you probably have another little while before you might have to use a scale, maybe not! I think you have a great mindset. Worrying doesn't do us any good, anyway. Living a healthy life is much better than worrying.
-
That wasn't bad at all! Food and guilt/shame have no correlation. Food is just food... Weight is just a number. It only has meaning if you give it meaning!
-
Do you want to survive or live life? Try something around 1500 for a while and see how you lose. I think 1400-1500 could be great for you to lose steadily. What's your goal?
-
Yes, weigh everything. Especially stuff like your oils and honey. It adds up! Eating exercise calories is fine IF you know your exact intake AND energy expenditure precisely, which is so rarely the case. Maybe not looking at a certain percentage of them and just eating to your hunger could help.
-
My "rule" is that I never eat for anyone else... I eat when I'm hungry, when I need to fuel a workout, or when I've planned for something. I don't eat to be polite, or because someone cooked and there's food. There are other ways to hang out and he can go eat with his friends if you can't go. SOs should be supportive.

Yes, start today

You can eat a ton of veggies for the caloric cost of a few ounces of meat. Plus the environmental cost... and animals like it better when we don't eat them and raise them in poor conditions. :)
-
Eat them for a bit and your tastes will change. Try different ways. I would be so lost! I hope you find something you like and later you can share them with your baby!
-
I only eat what I love and never to be polite. I eat when I'm hungry, not when it's "time" to eat. I jump around at any available time- while waiting for the kettle to boil, food to cook, whatever! Same with squats.
-
This is me too. I'm 5'3" and 130 to 135. My goal is 124 but I've never gone below 130... It's been six months and I'm going crazy! I lift weights 4-5X a week, run, yoga and I'm super active. I want to reach a maintainable weight so I'm not sure when to forget about the goal weight and just be happy at a healthy weight.
-
Yes, have you adjusted calories? Looks like it's time to lower them and/or increase exercise. :)
-
Congrats!! Maintenance is so fun
-
I'm 5'3 and my goal is 124 (I'm at 130 now) but who knows! It's just about how you feel when you get there. I also think it's important to get to a weight you can maintain long term.
-
That's fine, then! Do it when you enjoy it. If you force yourself to go, to might grow to hate it. That said, walking or yoga could be great for something during the week if you're up for it. If exercise is a goal for you, you can just work up to doing more each week.
-
I've lost 75 and just wanted to encourage you all for starting!
-
This is awesome! I've been wondering the same.

I don't log my food much any more, but I do keep track mentally. I log every now and then to make sure I'm eating enough/not too much. I weigh myself almost every day to make sure I'm on the right track. Congrats on your loss :)!
-
Split meals, don't get full, ask for low calorie drink menus or ideas from the bartender- they'll have some! Have fun :D
-
Yayyy! Just eat a little less and make good choices. Stay moving. Do squats with the babes and walk around the house throughout the day. Little things add up!
-
Yes, it should be weighed raw but it's still a tiny amount! That's why I don't even bother eating pasta much any more
-
Haaa!
-
It's not necessarily about feeling less hungry, but about filling you up to where you can't possibly eat as much as you might like. Even if you ate and then ate again an hour later, you've created more mindfulness than just sitting down to a huge meal. Same calories, sure, but there's something to be said for pacing…
-
Seems crazy low to me. That's what I eat and I'm 5'3" and 130 pounds. How do you feel? How are your losses? How are you determining your calorie intake (food scale?)? Too steep of a deficit can lead to muscle loss which we really don't want to see.
-
I'd love to help :) I started out around 210 and now at 130, goal is 125ish. I'm mostly vegetarian (vegan + eggs since I live in a farm and have happy chickens!) Also just have to say, you never have to eat meat, or anything you don't want to!
-
This is my current focus, too! I'm lifting 5x a week, yoga and I need to run more often
-
Yes!! Get one today!

Why do you feel like you need a cheat day? Mentally tired of a deficit? Physically tired? Cravings? When I need extra calories, I have extra food that I normally have- like some avocado, sweet potato, etc. It doesn't have to be a big blowout restaraunt dinner with tons of sodium that puts you up 5 pounds.
