I'd try various antidepressants, and after two -three months I'd be crying--taking anti-depressants and still depressed. Group therapy, much to my surprise, was an enormous help. I guess because I realized how common my problems were, and I didn't feel like such a freak. There are lots of self-help groups out there. I also…

Chipotle salad with brown rice, beans, maybe chic, avocado, lists of pico de gallo, and both hot sauces on the side. Fajita veggies too. 'An occasional treat.

One of the givens of being a male is you don't really have to do this stuff, you lucky dogs! Find out what the women who will date you want. Just go with that. Try to please your partner, unless it is a pain. If they demand from you, make sure you have some demands too! It's OK to be who you are. Shaming can be a power…

pizza + cauliflower caught my eye. Yes, looks good! Will try and thanx. If I could just figure out how to save or bookmark these recipes on my MacBook...can't be hard?

Talk a walk outside and listen to TED talks. Smile at the kids and wave to the neighbors. Repeat.

I worked in a health food store in the 70's and people drank it with Lecithin and B6 as a weight loss tool. Bleh! Rinse your hair with it and water, it makes the hair shiny. It tenderizes meat! Added to water, ladies used to use it as a er, douche. The writer Flaubert (1800's) had Anna Karenina drink vinegar to lose weight…

My new scale did that so I thought I'll weigh myself elsewhere and took the darn thing back. Waste of 20 bucks. Too vague, reading depends on what part of floor it is placed.

Sometimes it's a relief to throw the problem in the garbage. Although the curry idea might work with the slimy stuff.

I loved this thread --I laughed so hard the neighbors probably think I'm on drugs: "It's past midnight, it's Monday, she's alone over there, what does she have to laugh about?"

I got Best in Show, which surprises me because I love being solo. I wanted all potato choices, that was very difficult I thought the socks were cute, but a new iPhone brought out my greed.

I do yin (slow stretch yoga). Some of the yoga poses help with foot stretch. I told my instructor and now he really adds them in to our hour. I still walk, with Superfeet (green). They are worth the 40 bucks for me, and I haven't been to a doc to get the expensive ones. I'm hoping losing weight will make my PF a…

Well said!

I found some at a health food store in the refrigerated section. I heard they had a stink, and yes, they do. I rinsed and rinsed and let them 'air out' in a colander for a bit. They still had a little stink, but I panfried them with a little sesame oil, then added salt, sriracha hot sauce, a little soy. Stirred them with a…

You seem to have had a very strong reaction to losing weight. I would suggest that you talk to a professional. Sometimes there are underlying 'causes and conditions' and taking away the weight just exposes them. There are layers to this eating business. Not everyone is the same.

HGTV-you know, all those home shows: Flip this House; Love it or List it; and people looking for houses all over the world. I save money on travel : ^ D

So true! Yet I always 'had to lose the weight by X time" and--guess what???? It never worked! MYP is working because it is not a crash diet, but a learning and awareness tool. The needless suffering...I'm thinking of my niece who had the surgery, got infection and died leaving two small adorable kids she loved... Thanks…

I just start logging my food, and then measuring. Now I'm learning to weigh most things, and I don't kill myself with exercise. I walk a little and take a relaxing stretch yoga class where people sometimes fall asleep! Take it easy. 'The slow dead heave of the will' is what I always tried. I'd lose some, but it would come…

You guys are an inspiration "I made a decision" is where it all started for me Don't expect to be perfect. Just learn. For me this is not a diet. If anyone told me my fridge and pantry would have food in it while I'm trying to lose weight I'd have laughed a month ago. Losing weight is about eating for me now. Strange but…

Your dinner sounds delicious--nothing boring about it! I just ate thank heaven, but I'm still looking to see what everyone else is eating!

@larrodarro: I'll have to ask them about their Buzz Club. The more money in my wallet, the better : ^ )

I want me some ribs! They look delish! And a mayo-less potato salad sounds heavenly. Lemon, parsley, potatoes, . . .
