Try planning ahead... enter everything for the day first thing in the morning and make it a goal to stick to it. I have trouble with the weekends, also, but it really has helped me to #1 - not have the temptation available in the house and #2 - plan out what I'm eating all day. We don't eat out very often for monetary…

That is AWESOME!!! I think I'm over my crankiness, but I am battling a cold, so I'm still kind of tired. I have a very full evening planned and may or may not get to work out. I have no idea when I could fit it in, but I need to try. I'm on day 34 of Power 90 and I am bored to death with it. Part of me really…

Do you work or are you home at that time? I used to be like this at night after putting my kids to bed. So I scheduled my workouts at the time I'd normally be tempted to snack nonstop. I don't know if that's something you can do, but maybe there is something you can try to distract yourself at that time.

I'm not a single mother, but my husband and I work opposite shifts, so for most of the week it feels like I am. At first, I would get up early and go to the gym before work, but there were days I couldn't because my kids got up early or this or that.... I didn't think I had the time to workout at night, but I had to…

Good morning! I'm struggling a little this week... it's that lovely cranky  and tired  time of the month for me, so I'm having to avoid the pantry more than usual and forcing myself to workout. I might not have another stellar week, but I'll be happy to not gain. I should be much better in a few days though.…

I'm a terrible binge eater. For example, after having my last daughter, I was very emotional and stressed out and I gained more weight AFTER I had her than I did my entire pregnancy. I have to schedule my workouts at the time I would normally binge eat... after my kids went to bed. Our computer is in the kitchen and I…

I agree that jumping to the conclusion that he's abusive and she needs to leave him is extreme. However... I think what most women here have difficulty with is that she said he DEMANDED she stop eating the ice cream. I would expect my husband to point out to me if I were sabotaging myself, but God help him if he ever…

Excellent  The more you do it, the easier it is to do it.

 Don't take that from him. He either needs to know that's not the type of "motivation" you need or he needs to know not to speak to you like that.

Me too. Just like I know I feel awesome after working out but sometimes I forget that too.

 That's what I was thinking.

Normally, for breakfast, I eat yogurt mixed with Grape Nuts. It would probably work for a few other cereals, too, maybe if you crushed them up a little. It's yummy

That might actually be part of your problem... if you aren't eating ENOUGH calories, your body will go into starvation mode and store what you do eat as fat. Try making sure this week to get as close as possible to your calorie goal and see if that helps

Good morning!! I had SUCH a great weekend, but I didn't eat especially well - kept within my calories, but ate junk. :ohwell: So I'm glad (somewhat) that it's Monday and can get back on track. MFP starting weight: 285 Challenge Starting Weight: 278 November 1st Goal: 273 December 1st Goal: 263 January 1st Goal: 253 FINAL…

Congrats! :drinker: My sister and I walked the Race for the Cure this morning and said that we want to run it next year. She's already doing C25K, but I have a way to go before I feel that running is a good idea for me. But I definitely am going to get there!

Happy Saturday! My sister and I did the Race for the Cure this morning, and after that, the state fair yesterday, and grocery shopping... my feet are killing me! But I don't mind - it was all worth it. My sister has lost 45 lbs and is getting ready to do Couch to 5K. We both decided that one of our goals is to actually run…

It's kind of hard to say without seeing the menu, but my tip is to ignore the chips and salsa on the table. Good luck!

I have access to 3 differet scales and each one is different. I use the scale at work (I work in a medical office) for my "official" weight, but I do check it whenever I'm at the gym. I prefer the work scale

I tried a weight loss plan once that included a 24 hour fast once a week. I personally couldn't stick with it because I drank a lot of caffeine at the time and I'd get migraines from lack of caffeine. But during that time, I did a lot of research on fasting and I read a lot of things that indicate that fasting…

Good morning ladies :flowerforyou: Well, my intention was to get up and get to the gym this morning, but I had a rough night with the kids and was even late for work. So I guess I am taking the day off from doing a work out. First day off in 28 days. I don't think 10 lbs a month is unreasonable. Granted, it's technically…

:flowerforyou: That's awesome! Congrats! :flowerforyou:

I plan on getting a star for every pound lost either across my shoulders or up my leg. There will be 135 total. Your idea is really cool, too =)

Do you have any hand weights at home? Maybe make a list of some strength training exercises you can do and switch them up for variety. Then put on a good CD and dance around for cardio. How old are your kids? Mine are 5 and under and LOVE LOVE LOVE it when I do that and we all dance around. Trust me - dancing with little…

Morning! Yesterday was a crazy day for me, and I actually struggled to get in all my calories. I spent the afternoon int he ER with my youngest (she's OK, just a boo boo) and didn't get home until after 5pm and had 800 calories left! So I treated myself to a PBJ. I need to do some planning for tonight and…

Today I passed up Otis Spunkmeyer Peanut Butter cookies. I love OS PB cookies. But I'm very proud of myself :drinker:

I started antidepressants about a month and a half ago, and it only took about a week for me to notice a difference in my attitude. Before I started them, I didn't necessarily think of myself as "depressed" (although that's what it was) but I had an "I don't care" attitude about EVERYTHING. Since starting, I've been able…

:flowerforyou: Happy Wednesday!:flowerforyou: What's on the agenda today? I was going to try to make it to the gym this morning to do the elliptical, but my body protested a bit too much. I think I need to flip my mattress - I wake up really stiff and sore :grumble: I do Power 90 in the evenings and today is weight…

When I was helping a coworker set up her myfitnesspal profile and learn the ropes, she was entering the SlimFast shake that she had for breakfast. The difference between her breakfast and my breakfast was 60 calories and I ate food. You can have a nutritious and filling meal for the same calories that you are getting out…
