Amazing and inspirational! Well done you!

Man, do I love this thread! My most recent NSV was being able to buy size 14 Lucky Brand Jeans (from TJMaxx)! They are a little muffin-top-y, but they zipped and I'm looking forward to wearing them. The other one is actual a scale victory, but it's not the number that I'm proud of, just that it was lower than before the…

I just read this article today. The language is a little bit blue, if that's an issue for you. http://www.cracked.com/article_21828_6-bizarre-things-nobody-tells-you-about-weight-loss-surgery.html I don't know anything about it personally, but this article (admittedly coming from a "comedy" site) has some interesting…

Well done! Amazing progress!

Thanks for the inspiration!

That sounds really really good! I'll have to try that one!

I only have one pair of black pants and I bought them before I started this journey. They were tight and I probably needed the next size up but was NOT going to buy the next size up! I put them on today for the first time since being on MFP and they are WAY too big. Sadly I didn't notice this until I put them on after the…

At this point, I'm only listening to MapMyRun's average and split paces. I'm working on pacing to be able to run longer (rather than burning myself out too early) so those pace statistics are endlessly interesting to me. :) I used to listen to music but eventually it just started to annoy me. Now I'm listening to my…

Well done! Your transformation is inspiring!

Today was a big one for my own encouragement. About a month ago I ran/walked a 5k after finishing the C25K program. Today, I ran/ran (well, jogged/jogged) the whole 5k! My overall pace was slower than on race day, but that was by design. I was going for distance rather than speed and finally made it the whole distance. Yay!

Not enough superlatives to tell you what a great job you've done! Such inspiration!

Yay! I hit that milestone this week as well. Yay for all of us!

My goal is size 10 jeans, which I've never been able to wear. Even at my "smallest" as a child, I was wearing 12 slims. Fitness-wise, I want to do a pull-up and proper push-ups. I'm getting closer on the push-ups but the pull-up is still a LONG way away!

That's an amazing loss! And lucky you for having a partner to support you! Well done to you both!

I also had hip pain when I started the C25K. Mine was related generally to weak surrounding muscles and tight flexors. On top of that, because I sit all day for work, I also checked with a chiropractor who found that my pelvis was twisted. After adjustments everything feels easier and less painful. On the sitting after…

What an amazing story! Thanks for all of it and congratulations!

I did my first day of NROLFW today. I asked the only other person around (this guy who is always there at the same time as me) about using the squat rack, which turns out to be a Smith machine (I think). Anyway, he showed me the basics, then said "most girls only use the 25lb plates". I cannot WAIT to work up to more than…

This is a good one! I've had the same results with my towel at home. Now I'm hoping for the same with those stupid little towels at the gym!

That's an amazing time for your first race! Well done you!

Inspirational! Both the weight loss and the fitness gain. Thanks for posting!

This is an interesting conversation. Up to this point, my husband has been eating the same as he always has as though he was still running everyday. But he isn't running anymore and has been putting on weight. I think because I've been making better food choices and getting results, he's seeing those results and starting…

Yay for the LBD! Good work getting there!

Yeah, what is that about?!? I mean, I'm glad I can put my own bracelet on now that my wrists are smaller, but seriously? Argh, for the love!

This is a GREAT idea! I'm struggling with wanting to run faster but not being able to finish an interval because I'm running too fast. Trying this for my next run.

Traveling for work and hungry at 10pm (with still more work to do) I grabbed a packet of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. But I only ate one of the cups! That's HUGE for me!

Here's what I do and it seems to work. I keep my FitBit Flex on 24/7 (except for charging). I have it linked to MFP. When I run outside, I use MMR, which is also linked to MFP. I don't log treadmill runs but just trust FitBit for those. All of this magically links up in MFP.

I'm just reading New Rules of Lifting for Women, but I'm almost afraid to start the program. I'll lurk here for a while and on the stronglifts group until I can call myself a woman who lifts :)
