It would be nice if MFP did sync the exercises from Fitbit, since they have events and contests that relate to logging exercise here. My FitBit is the tool I use to track my elliptical, jogging and biking with more precision than I could do without it, and it makes no sense for me to port that info over to MFP manually…

Seems to be working, but with a delay. Used to be you could force a refresh, but not so much anymore.

Had it for a day, gone again this afternoon. Very disappointing since I hit my fast loss goal and was planning on starting to eat back a portion of my exercise calories. Oh, well.
-
And again as of 2:15 -- no calorie sync to MFP from Fitbit.
-
What is silly is that not only is MFP not pulling FitBit data, but it's assuming since nothing is there it can make a negative adjustment! C'mon, MFP. This is happening far too often.

Wishing FitBit synced with MyFitnessPal.

Cheaper and probably healthier just to get some cardboard and munch on that.

Global warming is real.

Wait, you can ask to get the fried double fried? Really? Now I'm depressed I didn't know that for my first 50 years!

Thank you to everyone who posted in this. I fine the high counts (500 or more) to be off -- at least for DiMola's pizza -- since we have it once a week and counting at about 350 calories doesn't seem to impact my weight loss. Maybe I'm a little low since I don't eat the outside crust (the dog needs it badly) and because we…

I didn't care which one I got, because simple math would get me to what a whole pie would be. If I got six, I could multiple by six to get a while pie. Then I could divide by eight to get a slice cut eight ways. Because in NJ it depends on the person doing the cutting how many slices in a pie. Joe DiMola always does six,…

What time do you go to bed? If you're not getting 7 hours of sleep or so, maybe that's the issue? Maybe go to bed earlier or get up later.

This is simple and easy and healthy. 1 Fiber 1 English Muffin -- 100 calories 1 Fried egg (break the yolk) -- 100 calories 1 ounce Turkey Ham -- 50 calories 1 slice Provolone -- 50 calories The ham and the egg are actually lower, but I rounded up. This is 300 calories. You can also easily leave out the Turkey ham to keep…

First, the way you wrote this is confusing. Who knows what SAHM means with no context? But beyond that, why would anyone have an issue with it? Or a SAHD? I think we need to stop thinking that it's a benefit that everyone has to have a job out of the home working for someone else. Why should we all have to get jobs with…

The discussion I saw suggests that baking powder is an essential ingredient if you want fluffy stuff. Two bananas Four eggs 1/4 tablespoon baking soda Butter and cinnamon sugar. We're trying it this morning.

I bought the candy, handed out the candy, sorted the candy my daughter got by going door-to-door -- and didn't eat a single piece. I don't know what happened to me. :-) /humblebrag

I think what's weirdest about this thread is that it was started in July, pretty close to as far from the "holidays" you can get and still be on a calendar. Either the original poster is himself obsessed with the holidays or is trolling. And successfully trolling given the length of this thread.

FitBit and MFP work together, and if you log an exercise with the specific times here at MFP FitBit will just substitute the MFP calories and erase their own. It still counts your steps and distance on FB, but swaps out the calories.

So I guess what I'm hearing is that my calorie burn counts aren't unreasonable. I have been recording everything I eat pretty meticulously here at MFP, and it translates to FitBit. Thanks for the input, all. I really appreciate it.

I get one cup of regular coffee in the morning, then drink decaf all day. I know there's still caffeine in decaf, but not so much. That way I still get the great taste of coffee (I drink pretty high-quality coffee) without shaking through the day.

I have lost 33 lbs since July 21, and that was with two weeks off in the middle for vacation where I was OK but gained a little, so that's about four pounds a week. An daily 1800 calorie deficit would be 12600 for the week, which divided by 3500 (calories per pound) is 3.6 lbs -- or right about what I've been doing. My BMR…

Nothing.

It really depends on what kind of person you are. I like taking it daily at the same time of day and watching it fluctuate. However, that drives some people nuts because you could gain a few pounds in a day just drinking more water or not going to the bathroom. I find the ups and downs of daily interesting (as long as the…
