Hi everyone! I've been pole dancing for a little over 2 years and would love some new pole friends on here. I love to talk about anything pole!!

I don't really gain weight in my midsection, I always gain it in my thighs/butt. But I will say that since I severely cut my refined carb intake, my stomach got a lot slimmer and any fat on my abs just seems to be melting off (I'm also assuming that since I don't gain weight in my stomach anyway, the fat there comes off a…

My body adapts very well to whatever I am doing actually. Which can be both good and bad....I notice even the smallest of progress in how my body looks over a few days to a week, and lost 15 pounds in 2 months. Since January I've been following a 'paleo-ish' diet. For breakfast I usually eat eggs and bacon or sometimes I…

Carissa is my first name and Rose is my middle name. 7 is my favorite number for some reason. Hence Carissar7, but really I should have made the R capital instead of lowercase because everyone on here calls me carissar lol. Is there anyway to change your username?

Mine definitely shrunk. I wear a 32D or 34C and even though I still wear the same size, they definitely got significantly smaller. I have tiny boobies now!! :(

There is nothing restrictive about a paleo diet unless you love eating grains and dairy. For me, I don't- so it's not restrictive at all to me. Eating "clean" means many different things to a lot of different people, and what someone says is a "clean" meal, you may think the complete opposite. Example: a friend of mine's…

Ice cream, soda, pasta (except mac and cheese), bread.

+1 for Stronglifts! New Rules of Lifting is also a great book but if you're just starting out I would recommend Stronglifts as it only has 5 exercises. For me personally, when I started lifting I did try NROLFW, but since I had no idea what I was doing it was a little complex for me. I did not feel comfortable bringing the…

I understand where you're coming from, but being flexible will not make your muscles look any different. I can bend over and touch my toes and then some and also do contortion training but my muscles will still look the same. Definitely not trying to argue with you here but just saying.

TL;DR- Like crap. Did not eat breakfast. Practically starved throughout the day, but stayed alive on lots of donuts, munchkins, muffins and snacks that people would bring in to work. Went to the local mexican place by me for lunch (Moe's) and got usually a chicken quesadilla or a burrito with lots of vegetables (that made…

This is me, on the LEFT in September 2012....I was my "bulkiest" at 142 lbs. Next to me is Jenyne Butterfly (famous pole dancer). I look huge next to her! It was a true wake up call. I only pole danced at the time and did other forms of resistance training, but nothing with barbells. I also ate whatever I wanted because I…

NOBODY noticed me in high school except the other people who were also loners. I'm pretty sure most people thought I was weird because I was the quiet girl who kept mostly to herself, except for my freshman year when I was desperate to make friends and the only people who 'accepted' me at the time were the stoners/burn…

My cheekbones stand out more and my face looks longer, whenever I gain a little bit of weight it goes right to my face for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm short. Also I noticed that a few pairs of work pants I stopped wearing for a while because they were getting too tight in the waist are now almost LOOSE in the…

Fat doesn't make you fat!

Last pole session I had, it was humid out so I had a really nice sticky pole which is a rarity. I was able to nail the caterpillar climb one-handed. Also finally achieved the flattest jade split I've ever done.

Everyone is on a different journey in life. There are going to be people who learn faster than you, and that's okay. I've been pole dancing for 2 years and I know girls that can do some of the things I can't, and they've only been doing it for a few months. Sure it sucks, but maybe that person was a dancer when they were…

Oooooooh. I just made these for the first time, they are sweet and sour meatballs rolled in toasted shredded coconut. Put those in a tomato sauce on top of some spaghetti squash and it was delicious! My new favorite way to use ground beef. Normally I just make a 'taco salad' type of dish, but that was getting boring.

I wish it felt refreshing haha. Even right now as I type this I can sort of taste it- my teeth also feel more sensitive than usual, like I just used whitening strips for the first time, with a metallic aftertaste.

Cleaning products, sure. Beauty products? not so much. 99% of makeup companies that claim their products are 'natural' or organic are loads of BS and it means nothing. The FDA does not regulate these claims and there is no basis of truth. I get asked every single day at work if there are products we sell that are "chemical…

That's one thing I've noticed, my appetite has vanished except for days when I don't eat breakfast. I do exercise frequently so I eat a lot of sweet potatoes and bananas, I think I average around 50-70 g of carbs on a good day, but I haven't posted in my diary in weeks, due to lack of appetite.

Cool! Thanks guys for the advice. Umm... now time for a stupid question, but how else would I know if I'm in ketosis?

Right-brained over here! I grew up being a drawer/painter and was certain I would go to art school and have galleries and sell paintings and change my name to Picasso. Then when I was a teen I found out what lipstick and eyeliner was, and that changed everything. Sketching took a backseat and I started practicing with…

You have sensitivities to wheat, gluten and dairy, then say THAT'S the reason why paleo is not good for you? Do you know what paleo is?? I am doubtful that the answer is yes because paleo completely cuts out entire food groups that contain these specific ingredients. The entire premise behind it and the reason it was made…

Macaroni and cheese. I just ate some tonight actually, after not eating it for at least 4 months or so. It had a different taste than I remember, definitely tasted like "chemicals" (everything is made of chemicals so I hate saying that to describe something bad..) but it definitely had an off taste. Still ate it though,…

I've never tried it but my gym always has a spin class going on and I can see through the glass windows all the people working their butts off and I just want to go in there and pour water on their sweaty heads, lol.

Why do you think they are not good choices? I once too believed that we did not "have" to consume meat but I was just never satiated enough on an all-plant diet. We don't "have" to consume meat, and we also don't have to consume fresh fruits and vegetables. There are people who LIVE on junk food/fast food and don't eat…

Running on the track outside in gym class in 7th grade and being in front of a bunch of boys my age and overhearing them saying "Look at the girl with the fat *kitten*!! Hahahaha!" and they did NOT mean it in a nice way. I let them pass me and walked the whole rest of the way and never wore shorts to gym class again. That…

I want to be the strongest version of myself. I was in a very bad car accident 4 years ago that has given me a plethora of health problems and at 20 years old I want to be the healthiest person I can be so that I don't look back on my life with regret at age 60 with arthritis or osteoporosis.

Why do you think that? I'm really just asking. Unless you are a strict raw meat eating paleo-goer (which would compare in my eyes to extreme raw foodism) I see nothing wrong with wanting to eat less grains and processed carbohydrates. I think there is enough science to at least back up all of the main, common sense points…
