I am on week 8 of no soda. I have drank soda for 20+ years, sometimes as much as 4 liters a day, but more recently 2-3 20 oz bottles a day. Here is my story. Days 1-3: Cravings, Headaches. (I purposely stopped on a Thursday night so the worst of it would be over the weekend. Week 1-2: Cravings subsided, started drinking…

You could always use your maiden name or a hyphenated version as your pen name, but on all of your legal documents, use only your FH name. I also have a coworker who's email signature is First (Maiden) Last.

I pack my bag with tons of fruits and veggies, and eat every couple hours through the day .... carrots, cherry tomatos, celery, grapes, apples, oranges, cucumbers, granola, nuts, string cheese ... keeps me busy without a ton of calories. Also, I keep scrap paper near by to plan meals, goals, exercises when its slow or I…

I would say to find a 10 pound range you want to maintain. When you start to get towards the top of your range, evaluate your eatting habits and start logging again... as you are lower in your range, write down what you eat, but don't obsesse over the details. You want to make sure you are maintaing a lifestyle of healthy…

Avacados are high calories and (good) fat... I eat one daily. You could also add some olive oil or another healthy oil into your salad dressing, or rice or another food. Protein shakes would help after a bike ride or exercising. Natural Peanut butter. Granola. Dark Chocolate.

Weighing yourself everyday is good to see how your body reacts to different foods, howevere you should only officially weigh in once a week at the same time. A daily change will happen due to caloric density of food, sodium intake, water retention, etc. Don't be discouraged! Drink extra water after a cheat day to help…

I didn't read through everyones comments so sorry if I am repeating, but here are my thoughts: Besides finding a new primary care doctor, one who understand you, listens, and can see you trying to improve your lifestyle, you should consider seeing both a nutritionist and a personal trainer. A nutritionist will look at your…

I have been on 150 mg of Setraline for almost three years now. I have def gained weight but that is also from eating like crap. You have probably heard it a thosand times, but DO NOT take yourself off any medication, especially antidepressants/antiphyscotics without talking to your doctor first! Trust me, I have really…

I am very intruiged by the number of you who has success with pre loging. I find that pre loging causes me to not only eat more than I should, but to eat more of the wrong foods. I also eat every 2 hours or so, but on days when work is hectic, I may eat at different intervals... so post loging really lets me see not only…

The Kinect is kicking my backside, frontside, and inside out... I am on day two and feel it more than any gym has ever done for me. I like Kinect Adventures, but does anyone know if you can set it to eliminate jumping. My landlords downstairs don't care for the 266 pounds of me sounding like I am coming through the…

At one point in my life I was drinking 4+ liters of diet coke a day. That eventually got down to about 1 liter a day. 6 weeks ago I gave up soda completely. When we went out to dinner I asked the waiter to bring me a glass of diet coke with my meal. I think I only got through three sips. It was way too much for me!

This sounds exciting, I can't wait to participate and meet new people, friends, and supporters while getting healthy!

The most important thing is to be consistent. I would recommend from the time you start the day to the time you end your day so that you can track meals accordingly. Breakfast should be the first meal of your normal day, even if that means you eat breakfast at noon (typically thought of as lunch).

I am having my bridesmaids in Peacock Blue (David's Bridals Version) and will have pops of lime, purple, and yellow in my flowers. The venue is mostly gold, but gardenesq, so I am going with a gardeny theme.

Hi, I'm Nicole. I met Josh in June of 2012, and knew the moment I met him, that instantaneous love does exist. We moved in together after a month, and got engaged in Newport, RI on St.Paddy's Day. We are getting married August 30, 2014 (Laborday Weekend)! I have struggled with weight my entire life, and have hit my all…
