Knowing exactly what I have to log makes my life easier. For me, a food scale is essential. Also I look at logging as "owning" my choices. there have been days where I do not want to log it because I do not want to see the damage, LOL. I make myself sit down and put in estimates so I can actually LOOK at the number. Even…

I compete in dog agility with my chocolate Labrador.

I love mine. I have used it in the pool but it would lose signal from time to time. Still, the equipment itself survived the test. I highly recommend it. Priced right and seems to be fairly accurate- but I also do not really eat my fitness calories back.

I am Heather... I am 38, mother of two little boys, full time science teacher and I run dog agility with my labrador in my "spare" time. I have been overweight my whole life and am trying to make major changes that will stick with me forever. I want desperately to avoid passing on my food issues to my boys. I would…

Same here! I am at stage one of the re-commitment. . I would LOVE a new support system.

Feel free to add me as well. I am focused on finding the right balance of family and work so I can focus on myself, too!

I just tried RunKeeper. It calls out your distance and pace every 5 minutes. I used it on a hike recently and was amazed how cool the map it generated was.

Love them! Sautéed with garlic in a bit of olive oil. I have been eating a lot of them. My most recent favorite is 8 ounces of mushrooms, sautéed with garlic, scrambled with two eggs and an ounce of tomato basil feta. Yum!!!

Parents who want to fix their high school child's grades the week grades are due. I mean, come on! Progress reports go out 4 weeks before that deadline AND my grade book is open, in real time, on the Internet... oh, and don't forget the weekly grade updates I put up on my door. Check your kids grades.... And if you don't…

You all are so inspirational. I did some inter-webs sleuthing and found a nice 5k run/walk with a dedicated walkers group close to my house. I have 2 months to get ready! It is a charity run for literacy, in flat vineyard terrain. I printed off the form and filled it out. Even ordered the shirt- which I promise not to wear…

Once again, thanks for the encouragement. Your shared pictures are SO motivating! I feel a bit like continuing to wait for the "right time" to do things will have me waiting forever. But just jumping in can be very motivating, encouraging me to keep at it. Thanks for sharing the race tips. I will make sure that walking is…

Actually there are a lot of factors to consider: horse size, muscling, bone, age, fitness as well as rider size, experience, balance, etc. I have not ridden lately because I had 2 kids back to back, but rode my horses regularly weighing 280. There were never problems or issues- and I even had chiropractic check-ups done…

Wow!!! Thank you all for the tremendous support. I really appreciate it. You all echoed my mindset- to just get out there and do it. Who cares really and I can always improve my time, even running one at a later date. I have a 2.5 year old and a 17 month old. I would love them to grow up seeing their mommy do things like…

2 kids, delivered when I was 34 and 36. I have been overweight all my life. Each pregnancy nudged me just over the 300 lb mark. Healthy kiddos, 8.3 and 8.5 lbs respectively, carried to term, drug free natural births. Pregnancy was really easy for me. I worked till delivery, ate healthy and monitored my blood sugar. It is…

I always wanted to start a business just for situations like these. You pay a small fee as a retainer . If something happens I will open your home, take all the lube, porn, toys, etc... Then I will replace it with lifetime movies, a bible, letters from kids in other countries you've been supporting, etc. Instant image…

There are are 240 ml in a cup. So 100 ml is less than a half cup (120) but more than 1/3 cup (80).

I definitely plan on enjoying it! In the past I may have gone all out camping, but this time I am planning moderation. :-) We will be busy- and we are taking our dogs which definitely means a lot of walking.

I did weight watchers a few times, like it more with the slide rule but hated the blue calculator. I need support so thought about doing it again, but don't want to spend a ton on something I don't really love just to get support. So: here I am!!! *waves*

Logging is hugely important or me, each time I stop the weight comes back on. This time I am in it to win it. I accept your challenge! :-)

Feel free to add me if you are interested. I have no experience with CFS, but you did come into a supportive place. :-) You can do this!!!

I am just shocked Prancercise is REAL! Not that I did not enjoy your food porn.

My dogs are in my profile pics, but I also have: 2 horses retired, turned out on family land 1 house rabbit 1 pet rat, classroom pet who is currently on holiday with his favorite kid. :-)

No form of exercise is more relaxing onto me than hitting the trails with my dogs off leash. It brings me joy.

Thanks, I appreciate the responses. I figured every 5-10 lbs would be good enough, I am glad to have it confirmed. I just could not see doing it weekly for such a tiny increment, especially with natural fluctuations. Not an issue right now as I do not eat the calories back.... But good info for "someday." I do weigh daily,…
