All of the arguing about what is best/worst, true/false, etc on MFP. It seems like we are adults and should just be able to agree to disagree. You can look at health/weight loss with many different points of view.

I would love to get up early and start my day with a work out but that just has not happened yet. For now I tuck the kiddos in and then work out. Thank you for all your thoughts and input. I usually exercise while the kids are asleep and can't leave the house so running outside is not an option for me. I think that doing the elliptical must be better than nothing at all so I am going to keep it up and start doing some strengthening exercise as well.

I am on the same crazy train. I started my weight loss journey on Monday. I am not willing to continue down the path I was traveling down. That means calorie deficits during the holiday season. Hard, but not impossible. If we can manage during this season, think how great we will do after it has passed.

I haven't had a chance to read all the comments, it looks like it got kind of heated. My husband really doesn't have any extra weight he is lugging around. It is important to me that he support me in my efforts and that we choose to eat healthy as a family, set good examples for our children.

My goal is 1200 so if I don't calculate correctly I have a little wiggle room. However, I am only 2 days in and find that I am hungry at dinner time. Which makes sense, because that is where I usually went overboard on calories. Hoping we both get used to this... and that our work and hunger pays off :)

I made up a batch of zucchini muffins (zucchini, whole wheat flour, honey and spices). They are 178 calories and very yummy.
