  • I am keeping one outfit as a reminder, and have bought me a pair of jeans and a top in my goal size to work towards. Other than that, I agree that if clothes start to make you look ridiculous then get rid of them and replace them with something cheap until you have reached your target/maintenance level then celebrate with…
  • I totally agree...I jogg on the spot when I watch TV or walk back and forth in my house using my Nike+ and easily do 5KMs...I work full-time and a mum with a hubby, and I used to make so many excuses until I realised how stupid I sounded because I also moaned alot about why I was so unmotivated. All I needed, was to stop…
  • Hi, I am currently on Fast 5 (a five hour eating window) that can be adjusted to any time of the day, and on non-caloric liquids/water for the rest of the day. I first started at 1200 calories, from 5pm to 10pm but changed it because I work full-time and the only time to do my daily walking would be about the same time I…

  • I cook mine then mix it with a little coconut milk/cream and sweeten with either honey or natural palm sugar. The coconutty flavor makes it taste delicious.
  • I have been doing Fast5 for over 20 days now and I have lost over a pound a week. My eating window is between 1.30pm to 6.30pm. It was originally 5pm to 10pm but I was sometimes eating too close to bed time and like to eat before my daily walk which is mostly in the evenings. I am not a breakfast person so those hours work…
  • pre-made green smoothie
  • When I saw my picture that was taken last December at our work staff Christmas party, I was the biggest one there...:(
  • OMG - you are gorgeous! I just about cried when I read your story, thank you...it has made my day :)
  • I have logged in for 43 days (in a row) as of today, and I started at 1000 a day whilst walking over 5KMs a day. I initally lost weight but then it came to halt where my scale never changed for almost 4 days. I realised after reading other's blogs and doing online research that I needed to up my calorie intake the further…
  • Do you need a rest day if you are just walking every day at over 5KMs/day?
  • my username is same as MFP
  • I use and I am also addicted to Nike+ but I walk not run and doing about 30-35 Kms a week.
  • Maybe you should check out "Diastasis Recti" and read the information to see if this can be a symptom you have...I have this and my belly is my one big problem area no matter how large/small I am...
  • so motivating thanks, I needed that...:)
  • in tears, thank you for sharing and Bless you :flowerforyou:
  • If both men and women have diastasis recti then I would say yes...
  • Like you was on MFP before, and things happened along the way so got sidetracked, now I am back its only been 15 days. Welcome back! and all the best
  • Haha! my story too. I had joined in the middle of last year and lasted for about two weeks. I have only just started seriously logging in MFP since 15 days ago and I too am enjoying it. I realised I was getting inspired just reading everyone's blogs and success stories, and that MFP may actually be what I should have…
  • :flowerforyou: Wow! your beginning weight is where I am now...thanks this really inspires me, by the way did you log into MFP continuously?
  • I am an avid believer in water fasting for the positive effects it has on me on all levels. I have done a 14 say water fast only after much research (check out fitness through fasting by Robert Dave Johnson) for spiritual reasons only. During the fast I had a great sense of peacefulness that I had never experienced before.…
  • I got a lot of positive comments when I went to church, about how I look...made me feel great!
  • I so get where you are coming from.. As part of my job I have to collect our mail from the post which is only across the street. Each time I do so, I seem to be targeted by herbal life and other fitness clubs to try out their offers, once I was pursued by the same herbal life distributor three times until I finally said…
  • Thanks and yum, will try this in the weekend...:)
  • I walk everyday after dinner for about an hour. I have lost over 8lbs last two weeks just walking leisurely and logging in consistently my calories at 1200. I have found out that I have diastasis recti and I am doing only walking and appropriate stretches to heal first, before doing any hard cardio or toning...I hope that…
  • Inspiring, wish my husband would join me but like you he is watching me...just this morning I caught him getting off the scales...I guess that is a start...lol Anyway the best to both of you and can't wait to see some before and afters :)
  • You seem to be doing all the right thing, I was on 1200 also and doing an hours cardio every day. It wasn't until two weeks that I saw the scale change...my wise friend told me to just keep at it because my body will change even though the scale won't. All the best and keep it up, maybe you need to do more cardio, but I…
  • Link me in please. I would like to join your group. I too never realised why my tummy protrudes despite all my ab workouts.
  • Hi there, I am new to the site and have only just joined about a week ago. I understand totally what you are going through because my mother is more or less the same in her attitude towards me. However I am the eldest of eight children but she picks on me becasue in our culture the oldest is the one that takes the…
  • Hi, I just started a week ago and I have had the same breakthrough except I am the oldest siter of seven siblings who was held responsible for everything that went wrong in their lives and to top it off my own parents were the ones who held me responsible. I finally said "no" to everyone because I realised they were…
