Thank you so much for the replies! I'm glad to know that I may be on to something and hearing your stories and ways you have managed these things is so inspiring for me! Thank you for sharing!

First thing, we did not eat lunch that day. We considered lunch to be the buffet, which we didn't have until halftime of the Packer's Cowboy game. I had stuff from the veggie tray, a burger and some French fries. I considered the ice cream later to be kind of a substitute for dinner. And I wanted to get a small soft serve…

Thank you for the replies. I really appreciate hearing from others about their pcos stories. So I have been looking for old threads about that. And I really appreciate hearing that it's not just me that would have taken the comment that way. Today, after work I'm planning to put together a weight bench in the basement and…

this is why I don't really count on the MFP exercise function. I use my fitbit. Swimming is a hard one to calculate. That's why I've been considering getting a monitor specifically for swimming. There are a few that directly connect to MFP.

it could be that for the veggie one, they have started putting more rice in. But it makes no sense that the plain rice would change so drastically unless they were underestimating very poorly. They probably got dinged by the fda and updated their packaging

I did a search for pcos and this thread came up. I figured I'd add my story in case anyone wants to add me. I have always been heavier. I didn't get my first period until I was well past 15 and it was and has been extremely irregular my entire life. At 15, I believe I weighted around 190 lbs at 5'6". It was only through…

Considering your past with disordered eating, it makes sense that you are seeking control, because that is what most people with ed struggle with the most. I think it is better that you talk to you therapist and continue working on your ed behaviors. 5 lbs is not the end of the world.

I think I see what happened. The original article was updated in 2013. I have a printed copy of what it originally said because it had a lot of information that helped mentally, rather than just assisted with the main points of setting up your weight loss plan. Since it's been updated, it's far more to the point but some…

this has similar information but is not the forum post that I'm thinking of, none-the-less it should be helpful to a degree http://justinowings.com/understanding-bodyweight-and-glycogen-de/

hmm. oh dear, it must have been another article then. I'll find it!

I have no personal experience, but I have read in the MFP forum article "In Place of a Roadmap", that your glycogen stores are replenished when you go back to maintenance calories and you can expect to gain about 5 lbs. Due to this, some people like to continue to lose to 5 lbs below their "goal weight" and then, when the…

I actually really enjoyed the episodes I've watched so far. The clean momma diet was ridiculous. I did not like that diet coach, but I also don't love that contestant either. Who I do love: I love Shaun T as the host, and he's clearly a host that cares about the contestants. I love the superfood swap diet, both the…

I'd like to join. I just began two 30 day challenges, one exercise for each, and am working on incorporating low calorie veggies instead of noodles and rice into my diet. I substitute a cup for a cup. I will be moving back to my hometown in Wisconsin on March 31 and am currently taking a break from my Master's degree…

It hasn't been accurate for me. I think the best thing is to pick one Time a week, stick to it and also take measurements of your waist etc. Sometimes you lose inches and not lbs. Your body will reconstitute itself especially if your exercising. Body fat percentage its more important than weight or bmi

I will definitely post my whole story and the New pic in the future! Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

Thanks! @pirate_john_75 Yeah, I'm here! And I m going to hit my goals!

I do one better, lol. My phone is in my wallet, so I have it as a background pic. :D

You are super adorable! Great job! I hope to look as good as you do when I hit my goal! I'm 5'7 and going for 230 at highest to 163. I'm at 218, so slowly but surely! How long did it take you? Any extra things that helped? I've started drinking more tea and water. Calorie free beverages I guess.

I have a zip and it broke in 1.5 years. Sad. It was a present and I can't afford a new one. It's out of warranty/

bump for the awesome!

AMAZING!!! LOVE YOUR HAIR BTW!

Does 3 pounds really define you? 3 pounds is water weight. You ate junk for a week. Big deal. You probably replenished your glycogen stores. Go back to doing your "hard work" for a couple of weeks and go about 5 lbs below your goal weight. Then your glycogen stores can be replenished and you"ll be right around your goal…

Since I don't know you well, I can't say whether or not this was truly a healthier option for you....but I do have a degree in psychology and have spent A LOT of time on eating disorder forums, as well as have had some personal experiences with it. While you didn't binge that day, I would say that you did an exercise…

That is so awesome! I work in healthcare and get really excited when I see improvements like yours in my clients! Great Job!
