  • Hard liquor = 35-40% alcohol, avg serving size 1.5oz + mix Beer (depending on where you are) can be as low as 3.2% alcohol, but typically around 5% Hard liquor is lower in calories to get the same amount of alcohol
  • I am having similar issues....90% of the social events I get invited to involve drinking. Most of the time it's beer, but 3-4 beers can make a pretty big impact on your daily calories. I have attended a couple and drank water, but it just isn't fun for me to be sitting there drinking water (and getting asked if I'm…

  • Totally an extreme example, but have you ever watched that show on TLC, my 600-lb life? Most of the people on that show have to lose a certain amount prior to surgery and many of them can no longer walk. They literally reduce their calories and do nothing more than lay in bed and they will lose like 20lbs in a month.

  • I love the chocolate cake reference! I also really needed to read this thread. I too have really been struggling with alcohol. I will do really good all week then blow it on the weekends. I usually drink almost daily, but through the week I tend to limit to one or two glasses of wine or vodka with crystal lite. Last…
