Scalus, God of all scales. All hail the numbers. BFF with Be-em-ia, Goddess of BMI.

This easily is my Top 1 thread. Crushing on all participants a bit. Where's the kissed up smiley when one needs it?

What do you expect when Impatientia gave birth to them... *eyeroll*

LOL Best Friday in a long time. I'm nuts like this...

Bikinia?
-
Should be. Named after a freaking goddess

Immediatia loves you already.
-
Cheatia, Goddess of cheat meals, cheat days, and guilty pleasures.
-
Caloria, Goddess of a calorie not being a calorie. Lol, this is fun.
-
We shouldn't forget the Goddesses... Immediatia, Goddess of all the quick fixes, but since they are so many, she needs help from other Goddesses, sort of like a project manager.
-
Starvates, God of few calories (dare I mention 1200?).

I want to add that it really isn't such a huge jump at all. 8 + 8 minutes you already have done with walking in between, so now it is a measly 4 more minutes to run instead. It's all in the perspective. Your mind might hesitate but your body certainly is ready. Let your body show you what it is capable of and have fun!

My mom gave a box of brown rice to me because they don't like it. I don't like it either but am on a budget, so now I'm mixing 1/3 brown with 2/3 white. Will stick to white in the future thankyouverymuch.

I don't get what is so bad about sleeping well. It is the foundation of health.

Oh seriously, there are as many rude Brits out there as there are rude people of other nationalities. Maybe you should let the halo polish itself when it is worthy of shining. Sitting on a high horse never was becoming to anyone, apart from Lady Godiva maybe. You think people are rude when they offer input and are met with…

You aren't the first to live in a place with challenging temperatures. Sorry but all I hear is one excuse after the other.

What is wrong with walking solo? If one wants to increase steps, one must walk.

Chymos, God of juicing. Juice is chymos, quite fitting...

Hydron - Drink at least two buckets of water every day.

Welcome. Every little bit counts and as a beginner your speed will increase when you increase distance. Just take it a training session at a time. Three months old is still tiny so it is understandable that your priorities are baby-focussed still. Congrats on the little one :)

Take it one day at a time. All you should ponder right now is your next run and nothing else. Reading of others running both here and in the Fitness forum usually helps me in the motivation department.

How my mind works today.

This is how it goes, just keep progressing slowly but surely and soon you will have done the amazing feat of running half an hour without stopping. Well done.

Like I tried to say, it is a perfectly subjective perception of your life circumstances :) If you're happy, you're happy and there is no arguing against it. A happy mind usually means a happy body, and vice versa.

More like an x y graph thingy with lots of dots all over the place and a single neat line drawn through it all. Good luck finding yourself nicely sitting on the line...

Nope :) I'm a die-hard spokeswoman of lifestyle change which includes making sure that the following is addressed: regular/enough sleep, properly managed stress levels, balanced nutrition and movement (both cardiovascular and muscle strength), good posture and flexibility, balanced sex life, etc. In short a healthy body,…

While WHO's definition of health is a brave attempt at bringing in quality of life into the mix, I always think when hearing of various sporting accidents gone bad that the people at least died when doing something they loved. How can anything beat that?

Agreed. I think the biggest mistake people make, be they researchers or not, is to view information as static somehow. All the small studies also act like tiny dots pushed into the shared pool of information, out of which coincidences etc. can cause knowledge (lines connecting said dots) to evolve. What bugs me about a…

I'd settle with university graduates at this point rather than high-school students.

Age as well. And illness as a sidetrack.
