I suspect that I do carry water there. Especially when it is hot. But I also think I will always have bigger than average legs - I would just like them to trim down a bit. I still have a way to go so hopefully there will be some difference.

Lots of my family have biggish calves but not to the extent I do but they are all relatively slim. I do see a physio for my back and she has been doing a lot of physio on my calves as the muscles are so tight from all the walking. She massages them to try and loosen them up. What is your physio doing?

That's a very good point about having large muscles from carrying the extra weight. Fingers crossed I will lose fat too :) I think the weight loss seems to be from the top down for me.

I confess I didn't take any measurements when I started and I really should have as I can see my waist has gotten smaller. I will do that this weekend for the future. I don't add calories for the weight training but I do one straight cardio workout at the gym each week along with a smaller workout on weight days. I also…

I am the only person I see in my local body builders gym that seems to squat or deadlift when I am there. I never see the guys doing it. Very weird.

Currently stuck at 27.5kg on the ohp. The gym owner has suggested going back down to 20kg for a couple of weeks and doing reps of 10 and then on third week going straight up to 30 and seeing if that can push through. Any opinions?

Just keep doing what you are doing. I am very overweight but eating at a deficit and just into week 5 of strong lifts. I won't lie, the weight isn't coming off but I have noticed my arms are firmer and my waist is smaller. I am putting the lack of weight loss down to newbie gains. I use Flahavans as well. I soak 60g the night before in my bowl with water only (I hate milk) and then add a spoon of strawberry jam after microwaving it in the morning.
