  • I like Leslie too. Especially just starting out. Those other ones make you jump around and do crazy moves that I just could not keep up with. Then I would get discouraged and quit. Just keep increasing the intensity as you get fitter.
  • I second the Leslie Sansone walking videos. I have several of them and some others as well. I love the Leslie ones because they are easy, do not require me to jump around, and I don't feel like passing out at the end. Its a great way to start if you are like me and had no experience with exercise to begin with.
  • I've never had someone say anything really nasty to me and I like to think I have pretty good self esteem. I actually used to love it when my great-grandmothers would say something about my weight. They could come up with the funniest stuff. It never bothered me because I didn't care what they thought about my weight. One…
  • That seems like it would work but you can get nicotine poisoning. When I started smoking I would have one right before bed, go throw up, then go to bed. Its a wonder I wanted to smoke at all, but it just latches on to you.
  • I know!! Fat burning does not seem like a lot at all. The thing with me is that I go by my heart rate. The trainer told me to keep in the 124 to 144 heart rate range to burn fat. Anything more than that and you are just doing cardio. When I started keeping in this range I thought something had to be wrong because it was so…
  • You're right, I have hit a plateau, but I was having a lot of trouble keeping it at 1280 because it didnt seem enough. I really didnt want to go less. Thanks.
  • So, im wondering. My BMR is 1,429 but myfitnesspal recommends that I eat 1,280 calories a day. It says that my calories burned from daily activity was 1,790. So you are saying that I should eat between the 1429 and the 1790? Im confused. I also did the thing robstot suggested and it ends up I have to eat 1923 calories to…
  • *giggle* I can do that cause I'm family. But really, I know you and I know you wont let that get to you. One day soon all of that will go away.
  • My grandfather gets way to worried over everything. He is always giving is advice. And while I am still respectful and listen to him when he has a concern I don't take my frustration home with me. If it is good advice, great, I'll use it. If I dont think it will help me, then I say thanks and forget it. It was hard not to…
  • I had the same problem at first but, unfortunately, that is no longer a problem. I don't know what happened but now I struggle to stay under the calorie goal. I think one thing is that i've slowly gotten back to eating out. I need to look back at what I ate when I started and get back on track. I've been on a plateau for…
  • Roasted brussel sprouts? How do you do that, Id like to try.
  • I like Trueheart's Blend Low Sodium Spices. It was made by a chef in Alaska that my mom knows personally. It tastes great on anything. I just rub some into chicken and bake. Thats it!! There is an email address on the label of tntent@gci.net He may be able to ship some.
  • I know, sometimes it gets really weird. I gained a lb one time and i had been staying under my calorie goal.
  • I agree with this one. Walk away the pounds is not a lot of crazy jumping around and great for beginners. You still get a workout and your heart rate up but without having to be a gymnast.
  • You're actually not doing too bad. You are only 1 lb off. I know its discouraging but its better to lose it slowly. If you don't get in too much of a hurry it will be okay. How much are you below your calorie intake? Too low and you will go into starvation mode and your body will retain everything you eat.
