I'm the kind of woman who carefully applies her makeup and arranges her hair for a photo ID. I do that because it's a bad picture, just because I'm overweight. After I changed addresses here in Southern California, the Department of Motor Vehicles only required online registration of my new address. Therefore, I don't get…

Best wishes on this strategy, Joaden1! I would hang those beautiful, expensive on a wall hook to see them every moment you're home. For extra incentive, I'd put the price tags and sales slips in a baggie, right next to them! May your goal be reached quickly!

I find a TV series I've never watched before on Hulu.com or Netflix, and take in an episode on my computer screen while working out.

Please look up the blog of our MFP darling, "HanfordRose". On Thanksgiving 2012, she had to be in a wheelchair or on a walker at all times. Her doctors told her to lose at least 70 pounds to qualify for double-knee replacement surgery. She began swimming at her apartment complex's pool, and at a local YMCA. She lost more…

Welcome, Dave! Go to "Getting Started" and read through all the "pinned" articles, and as you do, questions will arise. Do a 'search' on your interests, so that you can understand what's going on in your body, and how other folks are getting rid of 100+ pounds. I like to hang around the Success Stories and Maintaining…
