  • Season 3 of the show is "roughly" the first half of book 3. Season 4 will be the second half of book 3. However, the first two seasons do coincide with Book 1 and Book 2. A Storm of Swords (book 3) is just a massive book where so much happens.
  • Agreed, but keep your chin up show only people. Winter is coming...
  • I finished the program twice and found that if you can power through the first few weeks, you will hit your stride and find a groove. By then it becomes habit and it's a lot easier to press play. It really does become addictive.
  • I had read the book and it was still awful. Just such a shock.
  • Valar Morghulis
  • The Starks, though the prototypical "heroes" are some of the worst "players" in the Game of Thrones. Honor and righteousness don't seem to get you very far in Westeros. I think Jon is the best "Stark" player to this point as he allows for some moral ambiguity.
  • Yeah, not going to lie -- it was pretty hilarious to watch social media outlets implode last night as people began to find out.
  • It's been so hard going through this season knowing this was coming and not being able to say anything. Moral of the story: don't get attached
  • Yeah, it was a real gut punch when I read it in the book. I actually think I threw the book. Still didn't feel prepared to see it on the show. Even knowing it was coming didn't help much. Still hurt.
