I think for me, there are a couple of moments. First one is when I started fitting into my 18 yo daughter's clothing. I remembered thinking, when I was fat, "she can wear anything and it would be cute." Not in a jealous way, but in a "that's awesome" kind of way. I realized that when I fit into her size 6 jeans, that had…

I design and sell knitting patterns. Also, some illustrating.

Rest! It's good for you. You sound like you might be sick. I get forced off days (aside from my planned ones) a couple times a month due to migraines. Honestly, you sound ill and in need of some time off. Don't feel guilty!

originial post I'm replying to: If its something I don't do on an everyday basis, I count it. I don't do laundry every day and I do six loads on Sunday. I log that because I am burning extra energy and need more food to account for it. If you don't eat enough it can affect the way you lose weight just as much as eating too…

I'm almost 5'4" and I started at 225, these pictures are at 153, but I am now at 147. before After one year: oops (edited to change to correct picture) [/URL]

I count most of my actual exercise except stretching and warmups. I do sometimes count housework if it is one of my very intense cleaning days. I always see people say, "It didn't help me when I did it when I was fat." Well, I actually didn't do it when I was fat. I was too sick most of the time and I hired others to do…

I started at 225 (cw 147) and I think people outside of my household probably didn't start noticing until I was down to about 170-175 maybe. ETA: or at least, they didn't say anything until then.

I like soup well enough, but if it's a low calorie soup then I really need something else to help fill me up. I mean, to me, if it fits my calories, and helps me hit my macros, then I guess it's helping me lose weight whether or not it's soup or whatever else I might be eating.

For me, skinny isn't my goal, either. Healthy, fit, happy, etc are my goals and I am getting very close. When I was heavier, I was very very unhappy. I didn't feel good at all. I hated lumbering around in my body. I hated trying to find clothes. I hated so much. I wasn't healthy and didn't try very hard with my appearance…

I'd eat them, if it was decent quality chocolate. Some easter eggs aren't very good.

I just eat whichever one I want.

I actually wear short hair pretty well. My boyfriend preferred it short. I don't know, though, I think I'll keep it long for now, but I wouldn't rule out a short hair cut. It would be super short, though. There seems to be a "Mom" look around where I live that is basically a chin length cut. It's like a signature look. I…

I'm 5'3" and I weigh 148.8, 38 yo and currently I eat 1420+ about 85% of my exercise calories, which usually falls between 1800-2100 calories a day. I am aiming to lose .5 a week (I'm about 14lbs from goal). I lost more than that this last week, but I'm thinking I underestimated calorie burns or something.

1) I can keep up with my very active almost 5 year old. 2) My daughter (18) brought me a pair of jeans that shrunk too much lengthwise and wanted me to try them on. Size 6! They fit! 3) My sex drive is back (WOOOOOO!!!) 4) I'm a knitter and I can now make sweaters in my own size and they cost less because they take way…

1. As of yesterday morning 74lbs 2. 1 year 23 days 3. I started on weight watchers, so I'm not sure. I was MISERABLE on that though and came here. Started out here at 1200 net eating 75+% exercise calories. I am getting closer to goal, so I switched to 1420 net still eating 75+% exercise calories and still losing just…

It doesn't really bother me. My bf and I have always had different food tastes (been together 11 years). My biggest problem has always been portion control. I always ate quite a bit healthier than him, I just ate way more than I should have. His eating habits didn't really "show" on him until he turned 30. Actually,…

Yes...so much. And also for me, cleanses.

I've lost 73 lbs and it's taken 1 year and 21 days.

ETA(Oops again, I meant to quote someone who said they make it fit their calories) This is what I do, too. Not giving it up. I just make it fit.

Eggs and coffee are the two items that I have every single day.

I buy it once in a while for the children. They rave about it. I don't get it.
-
In general, no, my kids eat what I eat or they can fix themselves something (except for the 4 yo whom I will help make a sandwich for). Once in a while, though, if I am having something that only I like or is leftovers and there isn't enough for everyone else, I will usually make them something else that they really like…

We, as a family, have bought around 10 boxes. My bf has no self control with them (he's the first to admit that, too). I've eaten a few, but reasonable amounts. Much better than last year.

Great job! You should be so proud!
-
Yes, this is what I meant earlier. It's not boring because I have to use some mental strength to get through it. And the results...man...seriously. ETA: Ooops, I meant to reply to Lucy 2 posts above me!
-
Great Job!

I used to find exercise boring, too. I was determined, though. Over time, I changed my attitude. I found HIIT and Strength Training and haven't looked back. It's not boring at all because it takes some mental toughness to get through sometimes. I still can't do Zumba...I don't like it. The key is finding what you do like.

I hate spaghetti squash, but I actually don't like pasta, either so that's not really a surprise. I don't like Kale, either. Not real big on (white, yellow, red) potatoes. I do like sweet potatoes, though. Okra...it's a demon vegetable. YUCK!

We don't have very nice thrift stores in the town I live in (small town). So, I mostly buy new and have to order it usually. I've bought things at a fairly regular interval. I refuse to wear things way too big. I started at a 20, then bought 16, 14, 12 and now 9/10. I just buy a few things at a time. Shirts I did the same.…
