Effective - yes, does help fitness - depending on what "effective" means to you. Think it depends on the class though - in UK, have a friend who has hurt their back - badly, as they push you to do more and more and don't look at technique. Wouldn't do it again because of that

I bought one from Bravissimo - it is awesome. I'm big - 34 G or double G - so the right sports bra really helps. Mine has an added catch at the back where, when I'm doing running or jumping, you can latch the straps together to give you extra support. Well worth it and cost me £25 (uk!)

Did anyone mention the "sedentary" part - it doesn't sound like you are sitting on the couch if you are on your feet all day and working 2 jobs! Maybe your not eating enough or need to change your settings?
