This is actually relatively common. My own guess is that with regards to being hungry, from all the extra food and exercise your metabolism is speeding up and since your body knows food is available (you're eating more!) it wants more. As long as you aren't going over your goal and are eating good things give your body…

Eat before and after. Just a little, though. :-) It is accurate, but it's not useful. Meaning many healthy people have high BMI. Fats vs Carbs vs Salt, etc is different for everybody. But everyone needs to watch calories/portion sizes. The healthiest and most effective ways are the slowest. The fastest ways are the ones…

I read the book, but did not follow his plan. So I can tell you about the book, but nothing about the plan. Unless you just want to know what it says, in which case, I can just skim through and tell you (it's sitting next to me  ). edit: I'm headed to bed momentarily, so if there is something you need from me just…

I believe you are supposed to wear the monitor just below your breasts, so even if they're large they shouldn't be causing the problem. As the previous poster said, I'd just double-check that the unit is making proper contact. You can use a gel to help with conductivity.

I don't have the DVD, so I cannot comment on that specifically, however at the local sporting goods store here (or online) they have medicine balls and resistance bands (I believe I've seen Jillian's line of both). I got my wife a ball for her birthday (it's what she asked for!) and we got a pack of 3 bands (5, 10, and 20…

No matter why we're here, we're all here together! Congrats :-) :drinker:

Having gone to Florida State, I can safely assure you they will not be in the Final 4.

Gorgeous! And the cake looks great too. :-)

You didn't mention your height and weight, but I'm generally of the belief that most people shouldn't be eating 1000 cals a day with exercise. You need fuel!
-
Hi Patty! It's a great site. Jump in the community and you'll make friends fast!
-
It's a great time for veggies, nuts, and fish... keep that brain running on the best fuel!

Added? Most labels I see say "Ingredients: Pasteurized Milk, Vitamin D" or some such thing. Of course, milk does naturally have sugar in it: lactose.
-
Stay away from the cookie and grab some nuts. You could also use the whole egg (not just the whites) for breakfast, use peanut butter (w/ anything!), or add in milk somewhere.
-
That's awesome! And it only works out to ~3 times a day for a year.
-
Welcome to MFP, it's a great site!
-
My guess would be 2-250, since a standard size bun is about ~125-150
-
I like that you've got lots of fruits and a lean protein (chicken). Is that .08 cup of raisin bran accurate? For some more calories that will easily fit into what you've done the best way would be nuts or whole eggs (not just the whites because whites only have 15 cals.). (Bacon too!) A handful of nuts or some peanut…

New jeans are a great ultimate goal reward. I used to by $50 jeans, but now buy $30 jeans. And I like them better lol. Can't imagine $100-500 jeans some people wear. I think a law should require us to walk around with just fig leaves when we're at our goal... you know, that way I can show off my body but not look…

Yes. Caffeine absolutely IS a diuretic. However, our bodies get pretty conditioned to the normal amount of caffeine we consume so if you up your intake you may notice the difference. If you've always drank 8 cups of coffee, you don't need to drink 16 cups of water in addition to "flush out your system". With the usual…

Don't start using facts and logic around here when it comes to something like this. You'll only get flamed. (And definitely don't try to argue the diuretic effect of caffeine!!!) Of course people mean well, but this topic brings out the nasty from people.

Oh.Em.Geeeeee, I LOVE Friendly's! There isn't one with/in like 4 hours of here though, so next month when I pass it: I WILL be stopping. ;-)

Let's not forget that you aren't getting 90/10 or better when you eat at a restaurant. I eat 85/15 at home, but like the taste of the ground turkey breast (not ground turkey) more in some dishes.
-
FabulousFifty, I think you missed the point. The eat this/not that series is the "no diet" way to lose weight. Make slightly better choices and drop the lbs. It's a good starting point for many people who aren't going to the effort of counting cals and measuring. Obviously as a starting point, you'll need to move towards…
-
You should be eating w/in a half hour of finishing a workout, so make sure you set aside enough cals for a snack.
-
I also wanted to point out besides the cardio and lower body strength training, don't forget to do upper body strength training. The cardio will help remove the fat all over and the lower body will tone, as I said before... but working your shoulders and arms will help balance out your look so that you don't look…
-
Where we carry our weight is genetic. You can't spot reduce fat, but you can certainly spot tone. BTW, FWIW you look fantastic so don't see anything bigger than a size 5 as a failure.
-
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe you see her as a 10, but she sees herself as an 8, and someone else sees her as a 5. ...oh, and BTW, where can I find the hot, naked lady? ;-) j/k I'm married, she's in my house.
-
I don't know of the specific post or topic you're referring to, and I am not sticking up for everyone, however I would like to point out that most of the people of MFP are genuinely trying to help. I don't have an issue with disagreement, just a lack of civility. ;-)

And that's a problem because...???

Having a minor in Chemistry, I give people the benefit of the doubt and assume they mean artificial chemical i.e. one not found readily in nature. To be more accurate, water's not a chemical, it's a molecule. ;-)
