  • Two weeks ago I couldn't do any chin ups or pull ups but now I can do 3 chin ups from dead hang and pulling up to collar bone(not chin) consecutively without a rest...no full pull ups yet but working on it through assisted and negative's.
  • "This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, in it's place is something you have left behind, let it be…
  • I love the Insanity workouts. When you finish one, you are dripping sweat and know you got a kick *kitten* workout! Stick with it even if you can't finish all of the reps. You will be amazed at how fast you will improve. You will look back and feel such an accomplishment.
  • I think that Insanity is a great idea, because it requires no equipment. You must be aware that these videos will push your cardio level...in case you are someone who isn't really looking for that. I went through the whole set of videos, but not every day, because I still wanted to do my running, and was nervous about…
  • Your local middle or high school track might be an option when the students are not using it.
  • Thanks! I will definitely give it a try! Progress has been at a very slow pace for the past 2 months or so. I am lucky enough to have been able to keep things fairly simple for my 20lbs lost so far, but I think I am at a point where a change is needed to see greater results. Currently I am 5'4 and 120lbs. I would like to…
  • Since I have kids, I will usually work out in the evenings around 8:30 pm or so, after my youngest goes to bed. I weight train heavy 2-3 times per week and also do cardio 4-5 times a week(whether it be running, insanity video, etc). One evening is a circuit trainng class once a week at 7pm.Typically i take the weekends off…
  • Thanks for the tip! I try to keep my carbs to earlier in the day when i do have them, but this might be something to try since the closer I get to my goal, the harder it is to see progress.
  • Same here! At heart, I am a carb addict! Low carb really helped kick start my weight loss. Sometimes I felt a little weak from the lower carbs so I had to add more, but overall it has helped me tremendously. Also trying some higher carb days here and there has been working for me when I plateau and seems to help reset…
  • So true! My experience has been that the more simple the routine and diet, the easier it is to follow. Instead of over analyzing workouts and diets, trying to make healthy choices with food and making sure to exercise regularly will always be beneficial. I have never really tracked what I lift at the gym. I just lift what…
  • I recently bought the "JayBird" Freedom Bluetooth earbuds. They are a little high in price at $99 but well worth it for anyone looking for wireless headphones. I jog/run a few miles at a time and did not like dealing with cords. They have many other functions that I have not yet tried, but I can say that the sound is…
