Because unfortunately there is still a stigma when it comes to tattoos - mostly stemming from people who grew up when they were "unheard of" or raised by those who are strongly biased against them.

It's one degree here. A single, measly degree. That's not even a temperature anymore! I shouldn't complain, I know, but I grew up in southern California and I'm just not a fan of being cold. Thanks, Paula! I hope you're having an enjoyable evening :-)

Firstly I will say that Rachel was a favorite of mine - I loved her never-quit attitude and spirit. I was surprised when I saw her during the finale - I had thought she said she was close to her goal weight during the semi-finals, but I may have been hearing things. That being said, let's face the facts folks - the point…

I used to be able to do 35+ back in high school. Not bad for the fat chick, if I do say so myself. Now? One, maybe. Who am I kidding? Zero. I just tried, and confirmed. My upper body strength is not what it used to be.

Crystal I'm sorry your mom got sick! I'm glad you had fun with your grandma, though, how cool to get to experience her first concert with her! I hope that your new eating plan is going well :-) Paula, I adored some of the Super Bowl commercials! The Budweiser one and the Cheerios one were among my favorites. Holly, I'm…

This is probably the best way to approach the situation. If I were her in this case, I would appreciate the assistance and be grateful to you for thinking of my best interest and safety - but that may not be the case for everyone, so approach with caution!

I'm a 44DDD and I've never actually owned a sports bra before. I've just worn a regular underwire bra with a compression tank top and a second tank top over top, my sister is also large chested (38DDD) and she wears an underwire bra with a really not good sports bra over top. However, we just ordered new sports bras from…

Thank you everyone for responding, a lot of people gave great advice that I will be able to utilize next time we have a family function! I really appreciate it.

It's not so much the leftovers I mind - it's the fact that so much of it ends up wasted and in the trash because people will dish themselves out some and then not eat it, etc.

Good attitude!

Basically this. Please, please, please be safe. If you are not already in the process of seeking help from a counselor, I would suggest doing so if you are worried about losing weight with how little you already weigh.

1650 calories with a carb/protein/fat percentage of 40/30/30. I have found it really difficult to reach my protein goals, and looking back I see that most days I don't even make it halfway there, so I have decided to supplement with protein powder in the mornings because I don't like eating breakfast anyways. I'm hoping…

Simply put: 1. No. Not even remotely. Your body needs fuel to survive. 2. Again, no. As a previous poster said, it doesn't matter when you go or even if you go - following the MFP way, exercise is more intended for fitness as opposed to weight loss, and when or if you go is all based on what's easiest for/preferred by you.

I'm back and getting back into the swing of things and what better way than with a challenge? Woohoo! Starting Weight: 302 Current Weight: 301.4 (01/29/14) February Goal Weight: 294 02/02/14: 02/09/14: 02/16/14: 02/23/14: 02/28/14:

I am 25, do I qualify? Do I get bonus points if I don't feel 25? If so, then here's a little about me: I live in Washington (state, not DC), and I'm a full-time college student working toward my BFA in creative writing for entertainment. I'm a bit of an oddball, and I wear the title proudly. I adore books, theater, etc.,…

Wow! It sounds like everyone's weekend has been a bit hectic. It sounds like your little one had a fantastic birthday, I'm glad to hear that! Six is such an awesome age. I'm glad you got out of work on time today at least :-) My best friend did debate back when she was in high school, and transitioned to a judge after she…

Hi Paula! I hope you are well :-) Holly, I hope you're enjoying yourself at the competition. WTG on the stairs! That is awesome! It sounds like you've had a busy weekend, I hope this evening you get a chance to relax and have some down time. I spent Friday and Saturday at a high school debate tournament (I'm a judge). It…

Went to Starbucks before the debate tournament I judged at on Friday expecting to get a breakfast sandwich (yum!) but they were completely out. So instead I had a ham and swiss panini, which was definitely not as yummy. Yesterday was a bagel and banana, eaten at 7am at the high school while I was still bleary-eyed and…

I just wanted to sneak in and say 'hi' to everyone! I hope all is well :-)

Yesterday I had a bowl of cereal, and today will probably be the same!

The only thing I can think of is maybe look online and see if the brand has their nutritional info available through their website, so that you can cross reference that with the information on the can and see what is accurate? I agree, with an almost 200 calorie difference it's important to know which is accurate! I hope…

I still struggle with eating breakfast… I don't like to eat within about 3 hours of waking up most days, as it makes me feel sick. BUT I will try to eat something breakfast-like!

I've never had a sheep as a friend! I'm in.

I used to be incredibly self conscious about working out in public, especially at the gym. However, the more often I go, the easier it gets -- and I've gotten quite a few nods of encouragement from others that have spurred me on and made me work that much harder! The only way to get over the fear is to just go and do it.…
