Hi I've just joined and am sitting here thinking about the huge mountain that I have to climb and I'm not sure how I'm going to do it so I think I'll try one step at a time. Being able to count my calories is my first step!

Hi I'm quite overweight and have breathing problems. My doctor says that I am fine but that losing weight would help my lung function so I will be watching your progress with interest. Do you know why you got emphysema? In looking for some help for my lung function, I have found out that eating onions can help your lungs.

Hi I've just joined up this website but have a lot of weight to lose - about 48 lbs. Having been on diets since I was 16 (I'm now 44), I would think that a busy mum like you would need to eat at least 1400 calories a day as you need energy. You may be able to sustain less for a short while. Eating less that that may send…
