  • I did P90X last winter. It is a tough workout but completely doable. If you havent done intense workouts in a while then stick to modications and just do as much as you can. You will get stronger as your progress through the weeks. Best of luck to you.
  • welcome and congratulations!! You are off to a great start
  • My babies are 14 and 16 years old and back then weight was not an issue for me so unfortunately I cant help you there. What I can say is yes sleep is obviously important but you can still make progress with your current schedule. I would start with making sure you are getting enough to eat. Maybe talk to your doctor or…
  • Welcome! This is a great place to be. I used to be a lot like you in that I would do great for a while but if I missed a day or two or if I ate really bad one day, I would be really hard on myself and it became really difficult for me to stick with it. I finally found a reason to get healthy that had enough meaning to me…
  • I would say from what you posted here you may not be eating enough. Track everything and make sure you are at 1200 calories minimum. it really isnt healthy to eat less than that. Also 1-2 pounds per week is really pretty good. so be patient. We dont generally gain weight in large quantities all at once so you probably…
  • I agree with some of the others be patient. When you start a new routine your body goes through an adjustment period and its not uncommon to even gain a few pounds during that period. depending on the person, it can take 3-6 weeks for your body to adjust and start losing weight. So make sure you are tracking everything…
  • Welcome Linda! congratulations on your 5lbs down. you are on a good start to reaching your goals
  • welcome and congratulations on your weight loss so far!! I use to be a grazer too and was amazed how much i was eating when I started tracking my food. Portion control is key! be aware of what you are eating instead of doing it without realizing what and how much you are eating. So what kind of exercise do you think you…
  • I know I will probably get a lot of flack for this one but i drink Shakeology every day. At $4/serving it is more costly than most anything you will find in your grocery store but as far as I am concerned, the taste and the nutrient levels far exceed anything else out there. My health is well worth the extra cost ;)
  • Welcome and congratulations on the weight you've lost so far that is huge accomplishment!! you are close now you can do this!!
  • There are lots of good ideas here..I will add one other thing. everytime I get up to use the restroom I get a bit of exercise in while im in there. I will do say 20 jumping jacks everytime Im there, or some lunges or squats. it gives me little bursts of movement through out the day. Also my office is on the 2nd floor so…
  • Welcome!!! I have a soft spot for good Mexican food too. Just cant get enough of the stuff lol!! Its important to keep moving everyday. It makes it easier to keep going. I try to weigh myself once a week but usually find myself on the scale a couple of times throughout the week. I hate focusing too much on the numbers and…
  • Ok people, it looks like so far we have the largest team. Lets get ready to kick some zombie butt!!!
  • Welcome. I will be 42 in May and have gained about 40 pounds over the last 5 years mostly due to side effects from chemotherapy but i'm sure age didnt help either. I too finally got to the point where i'd had enough and wanted to lose the weight so here I am. I dont know if I am a stress eater but I definitely have a…
  • I added you as a friend. I try to be on here everyday but I work 50 hours a week and that makes it difficult from time to time:) I started back into my lifestyle change program a couple of months ago but have really kicked it into gear in the last 3 weeks. I think my diary is open, it should be anyway lol! What is the…
  • Welcome and congrats on setting new goals for yourself. what are some of the goals you are trying to reach and what are you doing to reach them?
  • those both help. Thank you ladies I really appreciate it. i have a total of 20 categories and I have to the first in my group to get them all by then end of the month to win the dvd :)
  • thank you anyway. I forgot one other stipulation. I need your ok to post the picture on my private facebook challenge page. It is not open to the general public. It is a closed group of less than 10 of us working together to reach our fitness goals. also the email address goes no further than me.
  • Welcome and way to go!! P90X is awesome. give it some time and you will see results. When I did it last winter I didnt see any results until my 4th week. I thought I wasnt getting any results at all because I wasnt losing weight but when I took my 1 month update photos i could really see the difference. I had lost a total…
  • I read an article a few weeks ago that talked about this very subject. It said that when introducing a new workout routine or just increase your workout intensity it is normal to gain a bit of weight around the 3rd week. They didnt specify how much weight and I assume that is because, as the others have already said,…
  • It helps if you have a heart rate monitor to calculate your calorie burn but otherwise the Dance is pretty good. I have also done Aerobics, and you can determine high impact or low impact depending on how hard you worked out that day. Either way without the HRM you will still be just estimating your calorie burn. I hope…
  • that is a great place to start and this is a good place to be :) Good luck

  • I would love to help. I am way over 18 and have 35-40pounds to lose. I sent you a fr
  • You can definitely make it work. Even if you have to modify the modifiers until you get there. As long as you are moving and doing your best to keep good form you will see results. Good luck and have fun with it
