by the way, i just plugged your numbers into a few calculators on the web to see how many calories they recommended... it says you would need anywhere from 2,400-2,800 calories! dont be scared! i am WAY less active than you and am doing great on 2,200ish.

hey! i know i'm late to the party but i thought i'd add my two cents worth. when my hubby and i got married, he considered a balanced diet to be taco bell before noon, and then taco bell after noon. he was SO not prepared for me haha!!! we now eat mostly paleo with a few add-ons for him, but our situation calls for…

hey! i used to work at TJ's in the candy section... ask away about chocolate lol!!! most of them have a tiny bit of soy lecithin in them, but if you read on marks daily apple he says it usually doesn't bother most people. i have never had a problem with any of it, but if you do, i totally get that. they binder is .001% of…

i see no problem eating some chocolate! why not just schedule some every single day and work it into your calories, no guilt? it helps me to not feel deprived. good luck!

i'm also 5'7''. firstly, your weight is a VERY healthy, great weight for someone that tall! and i eat literally almost 1,000 calories more than you a day and am losing weight... you can do this! you kill your metabolism if you restrict them forever.
-
how tall are you? 130-135 pounds is not a lot unless you are on the shorter side... are you cutting down the last few pounds? that's a slow process unfortunately. and are you eating ENOUGH? sometimes not eating enough can slow your progress or not eating enough nutrient-dense food. good luck!
-
just a thought, but are you making paleo food you enjoy? i will never stick to something i don't see as enticing. try maybe cooking some things you really love, to help you not feel deprived?

thanks for sharing! i love sharing good books that help. for me, the book "healing is a choice" by stephen arterburn was HUGE in my recovery. love good books!

i know i'm late to the party, but i just wanted to say i'm sorry. i know this is so hard. have you seen the book Boundaries? http://www.amazon.com/Boundaries-When-Take-Control-Your/dp/0310247454 i highly recommend it. i've struggled with boundaries with my mom, too. i would highly recommend sticking it out through…

hey girl, i'm a 23 yr old who has been struggling with similar things ({with food and boys!) so i get it. i'd love to friend you and chat. you can do this. i've struggled with EDs for probably 8 years and things are SO much better than they were. keep being honest. honesty is a disorder killer! it's hard to suffer without…

hi abbey! i just friended you. firstly, your food looks delicious! you've so inspired me :) one thing i notice is you are regularly below your protein needs and don't eat very much meat. is there a reason? all the other things are heavenly, but not very satisfying on their own. i would maybe cut down on some things like…

how are you doing with your whole30? one thing that's helped me that isn't necessarily paleo, but because of paleo, is that i just take better care of myself now, and that helps depression and anxiety a lot. i'm more confident about my health and my use of my time and that helps immensely. you can do it!
-
i'm thankful for how paleo makes me feel comfortable eating food that is realllllllllllllyyy yummy :)
-
hi michelle! firstly, it's super common for this to happen, so don't beat yourself up! but i see you don't have a food diary... have you been tracking? what have you been eating? they say that exercise is only 20% of weightloss and i believe it. the food makes a bigger difference!
-
actually, the whole30 is designed to you to learn what makes you FEEL great, not for weight loss. which can be really scary to let go of that control of counting, but it helps you learn how to be more in touch with your body and learn that it is trustworthy. you can do this!

this is so hard to choose... it's like picking a favorite child.... 1. steak 2. macadamia nuts 3. apples 4. figs 5. roasted broccoli 6. bacon fat 7. trader joe's chicken sausages, of all types 8. sweet potato fries 9. iced coffee with heavy cream 10. sharp cheddar cheese

for most people, i think fruit is totally fine! i think the bigger question is really are you just grabbing fruit because of the munchies, or are you really hungry? if you are really hungry, have something with some substance, IMHO. but fruit is not evil! rock on if it makes you happy. sometimes we dissect things too much,…

can i just brain storm out loud for a minute? does this happen to you often? slip ups? i wonder if part of it is because you feel restricted... which is understandable since you have so many allergies. I wonder if it would be worth it to you to let yourself have whatever you want that's paleo and within your macros. just…

hi tory! for me, it was a gradual transition. i played with what worked for me, in what amounts, until i started to find a routine that worked for me. especially if you are running and don't want to have a week of just dead-ness, i would recommend keeping your paleo carbs up. i know some people do great on low carb, so…

try steak! the answer to everything :)
-
welcome! i totally get the fat friend thing! i'd love to be your MFP friend :)
-
hey there! i am a pretty high carber as far as paleo goes, and if i go low carb i binge. but i know it's to each his own! just give yourself grace, and focus on how you feel when you eat. don't stress too much about perfect nutrition, just take good care of youself and eat what you feel awesome eating. good luck! ETA: i…

hey friend! you are SO not alone. have you ever pursued help for you eating disorder? it;'s; not about "just stopping" at all, it's about deep rooted issues usually. i would highly recommend counseling. it's so worth it. you are not a freak, just a person who needs to forgive herself and figure some things out
-
love the attitude! you can do it. one day at a time, really! don't let it get in your head.
-
Hi friend! Welcome! I've been following paleo/primal/grain-free blogs and such for a few years, but only committed to actually eating mostly paleo this year. it's just the way i feel the best eating - not a lot of sugar, grain free, mostly dairy free. so boom.... apparently i eat "paleo" :). i guess all this i say to…
