Buy some weights and lift more, push ups are pretty pointless

Your missing ear lobe raises 8x10 plus reverse pyramid on one leg and the king of all workouts toe curls wearing Dutch clogs while touching your nose with your pinky finger
-
Look at the guys or girls who are the best at what they do, do they push themselves to the limit or do they do 3x10 barely sweat then have a lie down, I am sure Arnie did 45 minutes 3 times a week one short of failure, I bet mo farah never got sore and Chris froome quit half way up the hill cause his thighs burnt

Eat cake

man up
-
I had steak with a brandy and mushroom sauce, fondant potatoes, honey carrots and spinach, bottle of red and a cream cake so you will be okay with some crisps
-
depends on your definition of failure, there is a reason why some people reach their goals and others don't the guy/girl who pushes themselves will always be better than the cop out who believes bro science and quits 2 reps short of the life ending failure
-
nonsense, how do you push yourself without going to failure, those who succeed don't have your outlook, we are talking exercise here for the op, if you are doing push ups do them till you can't get anymore, your arms wobble and you stop, they don't fall off and an ambulance is called someone like steve redgrave trained…
-
There are endless apps programs fitness guru's etc that can help but to it will always come down to pushing yourself, pick your exercises, pick your sets(3 is as good as any) 1st set till you fail, rest, 2nd set till you fail, rest 3rd set to you fail you will get more reps as you progress if you push yourself, dependant on…

I have this daft thing where i always sway on doing too much rather than too little today i did squats bench rows d/lifts ohp barbell curls and then threw in a set of pulls and dips then jogged for 10 mins i only started in jan and had a 3 week break due to changing jobs, as the weights go up this probably won't be…

Just trying to get different ideas really before i decide, doing the workouts back to back is obviously not ideal, neither is only doing two workouts a week and getting up at 0330am doing a workout then commuting and working for the next 13 hours certainly isn't any good Might go for workout A tuesday light session on all…
-
Strong lifts isn't a split routine though as such
-
Unfortunately on work days im up at 5am not home till between 7-8, after eating i only get an hour to relax before bed, working out on my days off is perfect but it's just that they are back to back, maybe i will have to just follow the 3 workout program but do 2 on back to back days
-
You would be better off paying someone to steal food from your fridge
-
The short answer is no 5 pound dumbells won't get you anywhere, you will be using heavier weights straight away
-
I would get rid of the machines and start with dumbells/barbells, i wasted a year doing some of those exercises, if you stick with weights you will move onto free weights anyhow, might as well start now
-
Don't use apps myself i am a bit old school, i just ran then next time ran a bit further, when i got to 5k i would either run further or faster and on good days both together As long as you put in the effort and ignore the voice in your head you will do fine
-
As a relative novice she can improve her times every two weeks, in fact that would be the whole point
-
Google is your friend search triathlete and lifting weights don't listen to people without the relevant knowledge, if you squat and deadlift heavy weights your running will be affected, i am a casual runner who could do 10k without a problem, since starting stronglifts some days i can't run much more than 10 minutes If you…
-
I wouldn't recommend starting strength for someone running 7 days a week
-
I will move in on monday
-
I am not a big fan of programs, jog at an easy pace then walk till 30 mins is up, next time run a bit further etc... once you can run for 30 mins come back, ignore the crap advice about holding a conversation while you run, barring health issues run till you are done then walk
-
you don't live in manchester england do you, i am prepared to commute
-
you hit 2 miles between 30 mins and an hour not very specific, big difference between a 15 min mile and a 30 min mile, one is a quick walk and the other is a crawl
-
How far do you run now, what time do you want to achieve
-
Not hard really not losing weight eat less calories, where you cut them is up to you
-
Toning is the devils word on MFP and all similar sites to be fair, you don't lift weights on a tuesday and look like arnie on a wednesday, would be nice though, lift weights and at some point in the very far future you may like the look of your body, at this point decide if you want to be bigger, toned is a point between…
