  • If you intake a lot of sodium, just ensure you are also drinking a lot of water as well!
  • Add if you'd like. Started on 12/11/17 with a goal of 90 days. So far so good. Program was designed by my online fitness competition coach.
  • Welcome. You got this. Change begins with you. Definitely need to think about your goals and what you can do to achieve it. Looks like you already did! So joining and wanting to commit is the first step.
  • Welcome and you got this. Change begins with you! If anything, we are all here.
  • Everybody has to start somewhere. But try using the barbell next time. Lower the weight and work on form freely (not on a smith machine). At LA Fitness here in Los Angeles, the smith machine bar is 20 lbs (typical barbell is 45). Two 45's on each with smith bar is 200 lbs. Keep it up and try using it with a regular barbell.
  • It is definitely hard. I am on a 12-day streak utilizing IIFYM. Coming from lowcarb, the cravings for carbs/sweets were intense at first. But if you allow yourself a small amount of 'junk' each day, the cravings eventually go away. The help of drinking lots of water and pre-workouts that contain fatburners help as well.…
  • Thanks bro! No hating on here All good!. We just share our experiences and try to help others out with what worked for each of us. :-) I was a fitness n00b and a overweight guy until I started reading online and getting help from people like yourself. Knowledge is power!
  • Some people might hate on these guys on YouTube, but I owe it all to them for my safe weight lost of 65 lbs in 6 months. 26% bf to 11% bf. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIPVF57Wau4
  • Actually, there is a way to get rid of stubborn fat. Google up " intermittent fasting". It might not be for everyone and I know some people can't handle shrinking their eating window, but IF definitely help me and PLENTY of others online get rid of 'stubborn fat'. That is the fat where it is hard to reach (gut/pooch,…
  • I just started today. Add me if you wish (motivation). Week 1 - Day 1: Alpha Cardio I never did P90x or Insanity, nor any videos for working out. I usually hit the gym. I decided to give it a shot to lean up. And I finally understand how this works. The 25-28 minute workout (program + stretch cooldown) burns roughly…
  • You prob wouldn't want to see my Instagram food pictures. I eat over 1200+ calories in one sitting. Lol.
  • That looks like an amazing menu. Don't be discouraged. Each person is different and requires certain amounts of P/C/F for each day. While one item might not be a good choice for one person, doesn't mean it wouldn't be for the next. A low carb person would say, "that is too much carbs" while another person who DO eat carbs…
  • I wear mine everytime I workout (lifting or cardio). I use it not for the HRM, but for it to track how many calories I burn for each workout session. I use those calories burned numbers and coordinate that with my daily macros. People lose weight when they are in a calorific deficit.
  • Good luck. I think low carb is the easiesy way to lose weight. I have lost 65 lbs from a low carb diet in 6 months. I mean, who could complain about eating steak, bacon and eggs for most of the week? Keep it up. What made this so fun was trying out new recipes for low carb dishes (also subsituting carb items for…
  • You can do it. Workout and choose a diet plan! Maybe start off with a low carb diet, drop that 15 lbs and slowly ease in carbs after you reach your goal (so you don't blow up like a carb puffer fish). You got this!! Stay strong.
  • Go to your local retailer, get a scale and weigh yourself. You can then see if your scale is broken or not. If it not, return it an get your money back.
  • You could always add me or look me up on Instagram (same username). I like to offer tips, advice and motivational pics. I was a former fatty and lost all my weight with free information online so I'm returning the favor!
  • I pay $35/month for a bronze membership at Lifetime Fitness. I would go to Planet Fitness but... any gym that has Pizza Day is just crazy to me. Also, coining up the 'No Lunk Policy' while being advertised as a judgement-free facility.
  • Ignore the people who don't believe about the 1,000 calories burned. Every workout session I have, I burn at least 1,000 calories (Polar FT7 watch to track). Keep doing what you are doing. You are sick of being fat and want to lose weight? You are def on the right track. You know, there are plenty of ways to lose weight…
  • The general and easy way to lose weight is...... be in a caloric deficit according to your goals. If people want to lose 1 lb per week safely, then be at a -500 caloric deficit each day. 1,200 calories may be optimal depending on the size of the person. Everyone is different. A petite person trying to lose weight compared…
  • I use a Polar FT7. I got it off Amazon with free 2-day shipping with the Amazon Prime for $60. Local stores here sell them for $100+. I love it. I think it's a useful tool in weight loss. I don't really monitor my heart rate, but I use the watch to monitor the burned calories for each workout session. This watch has helped…
  • Honestly, Instagram keeps me going. Everyday I log on and browse some fitness hashtags. Seeing those meals and gym pics keeps me motivated daily and I get excited to hit the gym after work. And of course seeing my old fat pics! Transformation pics are the best. If you ever feel like you are at a rut or just dont feel like…
