I love running..I have gone from not being able to run more than a few metres at a time to running 10km in 10 weeks ....I love everything about it..it decreases stress levels, gives an feel good endorphin rush along with all the health benefits...just go out with a positive attitude and hopefully you will start to love it…

try to reduce prepared food (anything that has been premade /has flavouring ) in your diet and your sodium will drop dramatically - stick to food that is natural as possible - fruit and veg, make your own sauces etc I had to stop eating any foods with additives for health reasons and its made my sodium really low :)

Hey Cam...good luck with the training..im from Adelaide and my long term goal is to do a marathon...but my current goal is to just run 10km....Im aiming for a 10km fun run on Good Friday...happy for you to add as a friend, you can give some marathon triaing advice:)

I agree .. swimming can give you a great work out..do a few slow laps and then make yourself swim 2 laps as fast as you possibly can and then keep repeating slow laps, fast laps etc making sure you finish with the fast laps. Im thinking of doing the 30 day shred but im worried I wont be able to keep my running up because I will be too sore - do you think thats the case? Id rather not do it if thats going to happen.

Im an outdoors runner...the fresh air and listening to the birds chirping etc helps set my mood... but with day light savings ending soon I will have to move to the treadmill somedays ..i think mixing up long steady runs outdoors with interval training indoors its what works for me. Hey - im on week 7 day 1 and I love it .I run 2 programs at once on the phone and they are 2 weeks apart, so I run the week 7 day 1 last night and week 4 day 1 tomorrow, so i can run 6 days /week but im not constantly pushing it. Hey - I did week 7 day 2 tonight (my second 25 min all running) and loved it - its a fantastic program to get into running - I have really enjoyed doing every day of it and I now absolutley LOVE running! Enjoy doing it

definately agree- i run outside and its the 'me time' that is the best - fresh air and no work or family making demands on me- i count down the time to I get to go out running

I have never even tried to get to the spit/swallow part of it - shocking I know - its jsut not part of our routine - its on my bucket list to the perfect one for him someday - I drink coffee everyday though! And ive pretty much done everything else that people have listed on here -

I agree- couch to 5 k application on your phone really motivates and helps you learn to pace yourself- Im on week 6 but ran 4km easily last sunday when running without the app - its reall helpful
