I feel great working out; am stronger, more energy and sleep better. I've taken a break for a couple days and actually look forward to my work out. I've missed it. What you're saying makes sense thanks for the response.

this!! 1 pound is a freakin pound -weight is weight. the only difference is density -the space it takes up-but it weighs the same! :) I'm currently on a calorie deficit and lifting weights; I'm two weeks in (after switching from strictly cardio) I've definitley gained strength. It's amazing being able to lift weight that I…

Great post! Sugar is my drug. I'm type 1 diabetic and I have to inject insulin everytime I want a sweet or anything that has carbs in it. It's very addictive and makes it difficult to lose weight!

I was diagnosed when I was 17 yrs old I am now 25 and have gained 30lbs. I struggle to maintain even at my current weight. I used to think that as long as I took enough insulin to cover whatever I wanted to eat I'd be fine. well that just lead me to weight gain, When you are eating more carbohydrates then you need your…

bikini this summer :) I want one in hot pink and yellow. I already have on in burgendy that keeps me motivated.

YES YES YES. this happened to me all the time. Don't get discouraged if you know you are doing everything right keep it up. I find that I show real loses two weeks out of the month...so the week that I ovulate and the week of my period I either gain 2-3lbs or stay the same (usually gain at least 2 lbs). I'm ovulating this…

I agree squats are great for the booty. i'm at 164 and trying to get into the 150's One thing I'm scared of is losing too much booty and boobies lol ....My ex used to say dumb stuff like that all the time. Keep going girl and try not to let the little stuff/comments get in the way or discourage you. Guys dont even realize…

I'm with you on the cheese and peanut butter. What I do is try to incorporate it in a healthy meal instead of eating it by itself. When eating it by itself you will have a lot more like half a block of cheese! My advice is to stick to the serving size and have it as a snack or in a meal. I like to put 2 tbl peanut butter…

No. I've seen some big guys/gals in my yoga class so I don't think you're too heavy. Make sure you are staying hydrated; keep water with you. I do hot yoga about once a week. The room stays warm throughout the entire class and everyone is sweating tremendously. If you ever feel you're getting dizzy just get in childs pose,…

I struggle everyday on the blood sugar roller coaster as I am a type 1 diabetic. I do what I can with diet and exercise but unfortunately I am insulin dependent. I have to count carbs, plan meals, and make sure my exercise does not bring my blood sugar too low. I also make sure I take enough insulin but not too much.…

yes I definitely need to up my water intake. I've been told that as well. I did some strength training today instead of my usual cardio ...decided I'm not going to weigh myself for a while. I want to lose fat before and don't want the weight part to discourage or confuse me when i'm doing everything that I am supposed to.

I read that article; it really spoke to me: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/why-big-caloric-deficits-and-lots-of-activity-can-hurt-fat-loss.html so much information and so much to learn I'm a little overwhelmed....I'm definitely sticking to this. thanks for the help

yes. I'm taking a break today. I tend to get a little obsessive about some things sometimes so I haven't missed a day at the gym. And I count everything that goes in my mouth. I might do a yoga class tomorrow and just relax in the sauna afterwards. I think the eating part is right too and maybe I need to relax a little and…

hey 3dogsrunning- I just made my food diary public. I just started logging consistentley for about two weeks. My work outs are mostly cardio I wanted to start more weight training once I got into the 150's (a trainer told me to do more cardio and once I'm in the 150's I should start weight training). I still do a little…

Thanks I appreciate everyone's input. Popular opinion is I'm not eating enough and that makes sense to me now. I wasn't really paying attention to net calories. All I was keeping track of is what comes in which I'm pretty sure I'm counting fairly accuratley because I do measure everything that goes in my mouth. I always…

Yup. I sure have. At a higher weight I'm practically invisible to most guys. When I've been 30 pounds lighter. It's ridiculous the attention I get. Doors are held for me. Strangers smile. It's like bam small waist and I'm an eye magnet thicker waist and I just blend in. That's just the way it is. Many will change their…

I feel the same way. I had a doctor tell me once that sugar was one of the strongest addictions to quit just like heroin is to an addict. So we need to find our own form of methadone! :) I dont think you will ever fully stop your cravings or thoughts about these fatty, salty foods. I crave carbs, fat and salt ALL the time…

I'm in Dallas or I would so be down for that!

In the past I've experienced what is happening to you. I was working out and watching my calories and not losing anymore. Try switching something up. Different work outs or diet. For me the diet worked. I lowered carb intake to100 grams of carbs per day and upped my protein intake by whatever kept me satisfied. I didn't…
