This is such an informative post it would be great if we could get the group moderator to lock and sticky note it so it would become a permanent post.

I tried an easy recipe I found on pintrest for egg drop soup. It took 10 mins. and was delicious. Simply bring 4 cups of chicken broth to boil along with some red pepper flakes, scramble 2 eggs with salt and pepper and slowly add them to the boiling broth stirring the whole time. Bring to a boil again and it's done. I…

My diary is open. I eat anywhere from 1200-1700 cals.. per day. The key is fat, I add olive oil or butter to my veggies. I also pick and choose my veggies by their net carbs. Which means I eat more of the spinach I love and less of some of the others

I'm taking slow-mag. I've never heard of cream cheese clouds our the pudding

I take a magnesium supplement most nights and I eat at least 3g of sodium most days. I put salt on my salad and meat that I don't bother to track. I work out lifting and cardio 3 to 5 days a week. one of my biggest problem is I am a meat eater.I try to eat fatty meat and the skin on my chicken as much as possible. My other…

I've been having the same problem. I'm just not sure what keeps knocking me out. The weekend of the 20th I know it was to much protein and gained 3lbs. I managed to correct that and lose those 3, but now for some reason over the last 3 days I've gained them back and I've got that headachey, foggy feeling that says I've…

If you go to groups and search "low carb"" or "Keto" you will find 2 good groups with like minded people. The regular boards are not a friendly place for low carbers

I've been low carb since the end of June. I started with the Dukin, but found it too hard to eat enough calories being low carb and low fat. Luckily I stumbled on Keto in August. It was a struggle at first learning to eat enough fat, but I think I've finally got the hang of it. Reading the info on this and the Keto message…

I was getting the leg cramps really bad, so I started taking magnesium supplements and upping my sodium. Now they're much better. My go to snack before working out is nuts, they've a good blend of fat, carb and protein. Don't forget to have some protein after you lift, you'll recover better.
-
I started low carb the end of June. I started out with the dukin diet, but then switched to keto late July. I don't think I've made it through more than 1 weekend without messing up and i'm down 22 lbs. Just jump back on and the weight will come back down after a few days.

Have you tried using xanthan gun as a thickening agent?
-
I like to eat olives when i'm running short, yummy
-
good to know! I've been up a couple of nights with real bad leg cramps, thank you

I have the same problem, to much protein not enough fat. My solution has been eating green olives and making stuffed celery with cream cheese and green olives.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I haven't quit. I'm almost at goal:happy:

Is a fat fast a good way to get into Keto? I've been trying fit awhile but m my ketosticks still are reading negative. I know I messed up a couple of times, but I don't think it was enough to keep me out of ketosis. I chances my macros a few days ago from 65/30/5 to 75/20/5
-
I originally set mine to 65/30/5 but can't seem to get into ketosis so I switched to 75/20/5. I'm fairly new to this also. I started out with Dukan, but found the low fat and vegetable restriction too hard. I ended up barely getting in 1200 cals a day, so I switched to Keto. Having a hard time getting more fat than…

Wish I saw this post before I ate my egg salad, that would have been great wrapped. Lots of great ides, never though of using Boston lettuce

If you go to groups and search Keto, there are 2 there that I know of.

Sounds like fun, I just got a fit bit this week. So fat my best day was 7,000 steps & 16 sets of stairs. 10,000 is something I hope to get up to.

I cook with it and use it to make chocolates. I also like to keep a jar of coconut oil mixed with raw sugar that I use a hand and body scrub. The smell is delicious!

A lot to take in at once, marking it for a reread. Thank you for posting
-
Maybe because a lot of the rotisserie chicken you buy in the store all ready cooked is buttered and seasoned

You don't cut it, it's like a bowl of pudding and it's one serving

If it's not too late I'd love to join you. I need to get myself moving!
-
Doesn't look like i'm going to make my goal, but i'm going to try my best! Need to step it up

I started my daughters off with Nair for sensitive skin. I was afraid they might accidentally cut themselves with a razor. As their fist razor I got them the battery operated ones that can be used wet or dry

Will give it a try

Wow! What a difference a year makes.this time last year I would have easily knocked out 4 sets of 100. Unfortunately i kind of dropped off this last year. Now i'm 25 lbs heavier and out of shape. I barely made 4 sets of 50 each of which triggered a head ache. Thank you for this challenge, it was a real wake up call
