I burned 900 calories in one hour according to my HRM. It just depends on how hard you're working too. I suggest getting a HRM. It's been great to know what I'm burning.

I just got one for my birthday. It's a Timex Ironman. I've used it for almost a week and i'm digging it. I've also heard good things on the Polar. I just went to Amazon and looked at all the reviews. Mine was around $70.

I used to weigh in daily. Like you said, it ruins my day. I've started doing it weekly which makes me less uptight and I think it's more accurate overall. If you weigh daily it will stress you out and sometimes just freaking out will make your body hold onto the weight. Sounds crazy I know, but I really truly believe it.…

Low fat cottage cheese. String cheese, certain yogurts, eggs, and...there are these sausage links I've found that have spinach and mozzarella, or jabenero spices that are low cal and high protein. Not bad eating either.

I don't think they work. Most of them are loaded with caffeine or ephedrine. I'd leave them too unless you want to give money to the manufacturers. I'm sure they'd appreciate your support. ;) If you want caffeine have a cup of coffee or a diet coke. Sometimes that will take the edge off the afternoon munchies for me.

I have it. I've been doing it for a couple of months now. I really like it, but I don't wear the belt, I just hold the wii remote in my hand. I'm not a fan of the expert level because the moves seem more spontaneous which makes it hard to follow. I really enjoy the beginner and intermediate songs though. You can burn some…

I've also had that question. I love Zumba and I work up quite a sweat doing it. I've just compared it to other workouts I've done that have similar intensity (e.g. Spinning). I figure I burn around 400-450 for an hour, but I weigh 120 so it shows me burning less than a 150 lb woman. I'm getting a heart rate monitor next…

Geez, mine starts at 3:30 pm and doesn't shut off till bed. I try not to keep junk in the house because if it's there I WILL eat it. I also try to drink a lot more at night (not alcohol! ) and it seems to help. I like to think of my body as a 4 year old child. It's demanding and cries for things it shouldn't have. I…

You definitely should not eat less than 1200/day. Your body will freak out and hold onto weight to avoid starvation. I recommend adding maybe 100 -200 calories per day to see if it will make a difference. I do this when I plateau and it seems to help. I've found that my body gets used to stuff. Whether it's an exercise or…
