I'm running my 4th on Saturday. Trying to run one per month also. Don't worry about finishing last, very small chance of that happening. You will most likely do better than you think. Just go out and have fun. Be prepared to get addicted. :-)

Started the c25k July 1, now running 12-16 miles per week. looking to increase that number over the next couple of weeks

Mine is the first 3/4 mile, then my mind wanders and I am not thinking of the hurts and pains.

Stay away, I like being the only guy in the class :-) Seriously, Yoga is awesome. I have the best night sleep after I take a class, and if I do skip a class, my body really lets me know. Do what you can do, and you will be able to increase flexibility and strength in no time.

Change your mindset of not being able to get up in the morning. Every morning make the choice to get up early and workout. Go to bed earlier (which will take care of itself once you are getting up in the morning) I am a reformed night person. I hated getting up early. When I decided that I wanted to get healthy, the only…

I think I will be doing MD on the 19th with my brother and then driving down to do NC the 20th.

I forget about them for a few months after I take them, until I take them out to compare the current pictures. So it is motivating to see the progress.

I have to agree with the others. Set the example. if he wants to join in, then great. If not, then great. Nothing you can do except keep on setting the example.

31 minutes before I began the c25k program, I didn't have a thought of ever running. Found the app and I was on the road 30 minutes later. Best decision that I made. DIdn't think about it, just did it. Didn't have time for anxiety. I am using the Insanity program right now. Had the program for a few weeks. One day I didn't…

I love yoga. Been doing it for a little bit over 2 years, if I go too long between classes I really feel it, and then feel it again when I go back.

Stay strong and in a few weeks, if you indulge, you will probably find the crap is just that.

When I did the c25k program, I pretty much ran every other day. I wanted to build the habit. My first 5k was about 6 weeks after starting the program. Good Luck!

Enjoy the first 5k experience. It is an awesome feeling when you cross the finish line

Congratulations!!! I am stuck at 4 miles, but hoping to break through soon :-)

I'm doing the Rocktoberfest 5k on the 22nd and the Charlotte Runway Run and NoDa Freaky 5k on the 29th

At the end of our dash here in NC, they had big hoses to water us all down. Helped a little bit, but I still found mud in places the next day. Don't use your workout best, if anything wear clothes that you plan on never wearing again. no matter how much you try, the mud will not get out of your clothes. Bring a towel or…

My best advice is when those days come that you do not feel like running and there will be days like that...go run anyway. It will be worth it. I finished the program in August, and I am still amazed that less than 3 months ago I couldn't run 10 yards, now I am doing 4 miles every other day.

I'm in. Yoga, running, insanity and working out...Should be an interesting month. :-)
