I'm in: Start Weight (May 1st): Goal Weight (June 5th): 194 Weigh-Ins May 1st: May 8th: May 15th: May 22nd: May 29th: June 5th: Fitness/Health Goals: I want to stick to my calorie intake goals, work on my 30 minute walking videos every day, my body strength training program (30 mins every week day), and at least do 2 hikes…

Good for you! I gave it up for my diet. It's not just in the calories, but alcohol stops your body from oxidizing fat. I realize some of the weight I gained in the past year was from indulging a bit too much in drinking with my friends, because it was an experience I did not let myself have at 21. I'm a big foodie so…

Keep at it, don't give up and never compare. Try and learn something new every week, make adjustments that feel right to you and any loss is good. I find myself comparing my current weight loss to what I accomplished a few years ago and feeling off put and I realize that the circumstances, my body, and even my daily diet…

I got a lot of judgement about my food choices when I worked in an office. I feel like it was just people trying to have something, anything to talk about. I couldn't stand being asked about my lunch every single day. I'm introverted and found it a poor way to open up communication. When I was dieting it would be "that's…

I feel super motivated to exercise and now know I need to track my food to be successful, but my biggest hurdle right now is my depression. It feels like I'm trying to wade through jello to live life. I'm getting all kinds of physical pains and my brain is giving me a solid message to give up constantly. Exercise has been…

I would start adding in some exercise. Maybe just 30 minutes with a video could fit into your evening at first?:) There's lots of workouts on youtube. Edit: Sorry I saw you go on a morning jog. Maybe stretching or a strength workout to be precise.

Must have been a good day for him :)

I read the 80/10/10 book and while it might have worked for the writer and his inner circle of friends as a lifestyle, it is completely unfounded on any nutritional science. It completely disregards a healthful intake of sugar content as well. If you are looking for something similar based on some substantial evidence I…

Sashimi :) Explore this website a bit so you can visually see the calories and nutrients in the sashimi and sushi you pick. http://www.eiyoukeisan.com/JapaneseFoodCalorie/zryouri/sasimi.html It's a healthy meal without the Americanizations, like mayo and fried additions.

A lot of what the advertisement shows is true when it comes to guessing. The best bet is a food scale and I saw that I was also making the same mistakes. However, some people have a visual knack for already being able to see the portion size vs the actual weight. And once you get used to weighing it is a bit easier to…

Lots and lots of veggies is key for me. I pulled out my food scale and found I was overestimating veggies per gram. I'd think "I'm eating two cups of asparagus" log 2 cups, and then when i weighed it I found out I was eating only 1/5th of the serving size I was logging before. When it comes to recipes that call for oil,…

Doesn't seem bad to me :) I was thinking of mixing up some of my video workouts.

I'd say lets do some squats or something to pass the time.

Yup... I've lost and regained weight. It happens when I think to myself, "I dont need to count and measure anymore. I've got a good idea about what im eating". Wow... Wow...I don't.

I've started keeping mine open for anyone who would like to add and get or give ideas and support. ^^

Today: a slice of homemade bread with an egg and a french press pot of coffee. Maybe a few stewed prunes for some sweetness.

I get so much pain during mine that I do think they are the worst. I also get irritable, cranky, exhausted, insatiable cravings for everything...etc. Exercise exacerbates the immense pain and I tend to fall off of every diet and exercise regimen I've ever set for myself. Just take time to care and treat for yourself on…

Just follow what you are feeling. The body lets go of a lot of water retention for the first few weeks of starting a new diet and exercise program. Worry about the "too fast" thing after a few weeks of being able to compare.

I just took a loaf of bread out of the oven and I am there with you on how difficult it is to resist the temptation of eating the entire thing while it's warm and chewy.

I decided that I love chocolate too much, so I have a little bit of dark chocolate everyday. Sometimes I add it with hot cocoa, or a few chocolate chips, or 1/4 (100 calories) of a dark chocolate bar. If I stop losing weight with this in my diet despite measuring and all of that, then I might consider taking it out.
