  • 5 days left and I HIGHLY recommend it!! I'll be honest, there are a lot of ups and downs...you don't feel like you're losing weight or the scale doesn't move, or it goes UP in the beginning, but about week 7, I had a BAM moment and I'm down 7 lbs and well over 12 inches...will do my final progress pics next week. JUST DO…
  • Agree! and love this!! But seriously, I also completely understand what you're saying!! I keep hearing that now, and I'm just losing the last bit and toning...i also get a lot of, do you even eat anymore?? I'd like to tell them, ummmm..yeah, like wayyy more than most people! There's nothing wrong with wanting to be a…
  • I would also like to drop in my two cents for everyone, as I know this is a very popular thread when looking to see what you may achieve, if it's normal to feel like it's doing nothing "looks wise" in the beginning and even middle, and such. I probably stalked it myself a million times the first few weeks!! I am less than…
  • You can open your diary under settings and then diary settings. Feel free to poke around mine as well for other veggie/protein ideas. I'm close to finishing week 7 on insanity and although I've only lost about 3.6 lbs, as of today, I'm up to a loss of about 9 inches total and 1 size down both top and bottom, which is more…
  • AMAZING RESULTS!!! Great job!!! I'm starting week 7 and looking forward to what the final 3 weeks will bring! Keep up the great work!!
  • ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! Fantastic work and looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey along the way!!!!! :flowerforyou: What's next? Another round of Insanity? T25? Back to the gym for a beachbody break??
  • Ahhh...so many questions! You are right in understanding that P90X generally does not produce overwhelming results and such until the 3rd phase, but if you're already through 30 days, why not finish it out?? There is also an insanity/p90X hybrid that you can do to continue the weights if you like that aspect. And you can…
  • I just had to bump this for later...HILARIOUS and just made my DAY!!
  • This was wonderful! I giggled all the way through because it sounds like conversations I have with my "self" quite often :drinker:
  • Holy heck...absolutely AMAZING!! Not only should you be proud, but you should do all you can to get your story out there more so more folks who think there is no turning back and no hope can realize that it can be done with the right determination. I can only imagine how difficult it has been, but you have just inspired…
  • If I am only over sugar because of my fruits, I do ignore it. Just like you are, i would only worry about the modified sugar and high fructose corn syrup. I am still working on getting my macros in line, but I don't think you should eliminate fruits to hit mfp's target sugar. I've read in many forums they set it too low.…
  • cateyedkp said pretty much exactly what I have to say, I just wanted you to know you can feel free to add me, look at the healthier things in my food diary that I eat, or message with any questions. I started my quest for vegetarianism when I was 13 because some girlfriends and I made a bet, and after some pressing by me,…
  • I'm on day 25 Insanity and I think everyone here has had some great advice for you! You'll probably develop a love/hate relationship with it, and there will be days you just don't want to do it, but you'll feel so much better once you get started. You'll probably notice an increase in energy first, possible weight gain at…
  • I started as a vegetarian because of a bet when I was 13 and have never looked back, although sometimes bacon just SMELLS so good!! Anyone can feel free to add me...I joined MFP to help me tone up and finish losing those last 10 lbs as I started my Insanity journey, but I am finding the friends with similar diets and the…
  • Slenderkitchen.com and skinnykitchen.com are two of my favorite sites for vegetarian and low cal recipes that are also fairly easy. My favorite "go-to's" are homemade black bean burgers and then freeze them for easy and quick meals, zucchini pizzas, and small portions of pasta loaded with sauteed vegetables and beans. I've…
  • Bumping!! I will most definitely make these and freeze for easy grabbing!!
  • This is one of my absolute favorites!! Especially when I have a pizza craving :) I skip the olive oil and slice a second time for thinner pieces. I bake the slices first alone with seasoning for about 10 minutes, add a light layer of pizza sauce, then my cheese and toppings and continue baking until done. You won't regret…
  • Excellent read and information. Thanks!! I don't know how I couldn't find this!!
  • I'm with yinz!! (though I cringe everytime I hear it!!!)
  • Absolutely amazing results!!! You must feel like a million bucks!!! (You sure look it!)
  • Bumping for easy finding~awesome idea!!
  • I agree, and maybe I misstated, but I see too many people say, I have x amount of calories left, I'm going to have a bag of chips to use them up, or a donut, or whatever. This should be done with fruits, veggies and other power packed foods to properly fuel your body. Don't eat them with the wrong types of foods because…
  • Check out a few of the other sites if they're free, but I don't think mfp is all that off. You don't need to eat back all your exercise calories, but you will need to eat back some at least. You need to fuel your body properly first and foremost. Don't eat them back with sugar and empty calories just because they're there;…
  • First of all, good luck on your journey! Seems like you are in the right place! Second, I agree with everyone so far that you need to adjust your expectations...while 7 lbs may look great on a scale, it's still only a "fictitious" number. It is SOOO hard to not live and die by the scale, but if you do, you'll soon learn it…
  • P.s....if you look at today's, ignore the donut :brokenheart: total moment of weakness haha...and I pack my lunch so I log every day right up until my workout and dinner...just helps to keep me on track and know what I should change for the day or how I should go about dinner and evening snacks!
  • I don't have much time, but I took a glance through your food logs and I honestly don't think you're eating nearly enough to be fueling your body properly to burn fat, increase your metabolism and build muscle. You're eating close to the NET calories you need to be, but depending on many factors, you're burning 300-600…
  • By the way Lisa~not sure how long you've been on your journey of weight loss total, but your two pics you have up are AMAZING results! Keep at it!!!
  • A, as in ONE towel?? LOL..I wear a do-rag, keep an extra on the side and keep a towel handy...I am SOOO gross when I'm done I can wring the stuff out!!! hahaha!
  • dkny3362~don't give up just yet! we're about the same weight and you're a little taller than me...yes, this weekend it was like magic overnight that i had some small noticeable changes in my body. I "felt" them after the first week, but I am also a serial measurer and weigher and am trying to back off myself after talking…
  • I get super energized by this workout...all depends on your body and your sleep schedule. And I normally have to wait about an hr and half after eating to do it because of so much jumping...normally I try to get it done before dinner, but everyone's schedules are different and I'm sure you can make it work!
