  • SW: 184.4 11w: 188.4 14w3d: 188.6 (+4.2) 17w1d: 191.5 (+7.1) I think I'm averaging about a pound a week right now - however with the holidays tossed in there, I'm not surprised! Even if I keep going at the rate of 1 pound per week, I'll end up +30lbs for this pregnancy ... which I will be okay with.
  • Has everyone shared their news now to friends, family, and co-workers?
  • I think I may have felt baby moving the other day ... but it was so slight, and I haven't felt it since then, it's possible that it wasn't actually baby! Next ultrasound is Jan 17 - and hopefully we will learn if we're having a boy or girl! I really cannot wait! I'll be 19w5 on that day! (almost half way!!!) It is starting…
  • so glad to hear Sonali! That is great news!!!
  • BBurg - that is such a great idea! I am sure your family and friends will love it!
  • Namaste!! That is awesome!! What a great story you'll be able to share for years to come! Nice to see you back on the message boards, hope you're feeling well!
  • Hey Suzanne - Everyone I know who's been pregnant keeps telling me to use lots of lotion to keep skin moisturized and drink lots of water ... but most things I read say it makes no difference. Apparently the lotions and oils out there marketed to reducing stretch mark appearance only fade what you already have, but there…
  • I think the doctor said 160 bpm - but I was so overwhelmed, I wasn't fully paying attention!
  • keep up the great work!!! You are doing amazing! The difference in your photos is clear and 12 lbs is nothing to scoff about! You look great, you lost 12 lbs and you renewed your love of running!!! Great job!!
  • SW: 184.4 11w: 188.4 14w3d: 188.6 (+4.2) still this is sitting well with me :) although I'm surprised it's not higher. I really have not been active at all (still too exhausted) and some days I eat much more than I should be! I am really hoping it doesn't catch up all at once! I am not yet showing a bump, but the bloating…
  • LOVE IT!!! What a great picture BBurg86!!!
  • have you tried adding a lemon or cucumber slice? I find the lemon helped me a ton (and seemed to keep acid reflux to a minimum)
  • oh yes! $30 for the bellaband ... which is saving my pre-pregnancy dress pants (but not for much longer!) so a total of $155 on maternity clothes to date. Winter lasts forever here in Calgary, so I think I can make this batch of clothes work (need to buy a few cardigans) until late April or early May before having to pick…
  • I finally treked out to one of the second-hand stores on Saturday and found pants!! I found two pairs of maternity dress pants that are suitable for my work in a law firm for $9 each! I will have to take them in to get hemmed, at an additional $9 each, that still makes each pair just $18 - and they fit!! They are…
  • I am not at all familiar with hypothyroid during pregnancy at all ... but I am sending thoughts and prayers that this all is resolved quickly with as little stress as possible for you!! *hugs*
  • Lady_Lamb what a great picture!!! I have to say the 3D image is a bit creepy!
  • Here is peanut at 12w5d ultrasound! This ultrasound was for the genetic screening. Everything looks great and no concerns! Only a few more weeks to go and we'll be able to learn the gender. Right now I am thankful for a healthy baby and the end of the first trimester!!
  • So I found another Target yesterday, and Thyme Maternity and found some great pants that will work for the office ... the problem is a size Large fits, but does not leave any room to grow in the leg/bum area. A size Extra Large has me swimming in material. I purchased a belly band for now, and will use this as long as I…
  • I'll try the upload ... this is my peanut at 10w2d ... hope it works!
  • I don't know how to post a picture :( other wise I would love to share my peanut!! Had ultrasound at 10w2d and having another one on Friday (12w5d) PS. That is one cute bean!!!
  • I asked around some friends in the office today and many of them also suggested Walmart ... I just have to find a location that has a maternity section! I did hit up a second walmart yesterday, but they only had 1 rack, and 1 pair of dress pants ... which did not work out for me. I was also told that most of the other…
  • I tried to go shopping for maternity clothes today, started at the mall and went to Target, and found just 1 pair of maternity dress pants, and they were skinny leg - I am not a skinny pants person, so that sucked. Went to Motherhood Maternity where a very kind sales lady brought me three pairs of "dress" pants to try on.…
  • SW: 184.4 11w: 188.4 I'm okay with this ...
  • YAY!!! I am so excited for you _DoingMe_!! I hope the rest of the appointment was good as well, but all that is nothing compared to FINALLY getting to hear that little heart beat!! Tigger - hang in there! Have you considered some motionsickness bands? (Sea-bands, or something of the like?)
  • Suzanne - I am so excited that you were able to see the baby today! But weird that the technician said it was too early for pictures. I had an ultrasound at 9 weeks and another on Tuesday and both times I was given a disk with all of the images, of which you can certainly see the little peanut. The technician also told us…
  • I crawled into an empty office during the last half of my lunch break, locked the door and curled up with my sweater as a pillow. It wasn't quite enough, but I think I can make it the remaining three hours of the day. I cannot wait for this first trimester to be over and to start having some energy, less uneasy tummy and…
  • today I had my first "real" doctor's appointment ... which again felt like a huge waste of time. The doctor took my weight and height, did a general exam (checked my breathing, eyes, ears, throat) and a breast exam. However when asked to give a urine sample (again), I found blood. The doctor asked about how I'd been…
  • the chart says a boy for me ... but I am really hoping for a girl hahah!! My sister in law also said boy right away, using some formula similar to this one! We have 6 nephews in our family. Everyone is hoping for a little girl! Granted, a happy and healthy baby is all I really want, if I was able to have my choice, it…
  • Suzanne - I thought the same thing! I don't want to run into someone I know while browsing maternity wear! I'm in Calgary, AB and winter lasts forever here (thankfully it's off to a slow start so far ...) which means I could be wearing "winter" clothes until mid April - which would put me in around 30-34 weeks ... I was…
  • I am hoping to hijack my husband's wool coat this winter! Thankfully he's pretty slim, so I won't be swimming in it, but it means I don't have to go out and buy one to wear to accomodate my bump (whenever it decides to show up ...)
