Because that's how we developed weight problems right? Eating those huge 100 calorie veggie salads! And OP, seriously  Seriously . . . This thread is so full of your troll posts, that I thought the forum had been transported to Mordor. If you're going to Troll, at least make it funny. This thread is just your…

These are not mutually exclusive ideas OP. Honestly, for someone with a little bit to lose or who is in a healthy weight range, probably lifting weights and body sculpting, along with diet improvements to increase protein and general nutrition is all they would need to get fit versus eating at a calorie deficit. However,…

What she said! I enjoy calorie dense foods. Calories can go from OK to OMG what have I DONE?! pretty quickly :) Because I don't want to do cardio for 2 hours every night, I weigh my food portions. And for caloric drinks, like my occassional glass of wine, I have glasses that I've already measured ounces into, so I know…

No, I know what OP is saying and I wondered that too. But, I think I understand it. For example, I set a weekly goal of: I'd like to exercise 20 minutes 3x a week, but MFP suggests that for that goal I should burn X number of calories. I assumed that the suggested calorie burn would be for a 'moderate effort' or 'moderate…

You may have body image issues or be what is popularly known as 'skinny fat' due to a need for exercise. But, running the way you do, I doubt you are 'skinny fat'. You are already at a healthy weight for your height. Your weight goal for your height is unrealistic and unhealthy. This is not a site that promotes or supports…

I'm glad you got care. I read the post earlier but I didn't know what to advise, other than what everyone else was saying, get to the hospital somehow, no matter what. A doctor who takes the time to notice things makes all the difference in the world. I'm glad you got a doctor who didn't just try to send you home without…

I have an endocrine disorder, and I still lose weight by having a weekly deficit of eating and drinking fewer calories than I burn. It all comes down to math, which means it IS calories in and calories out. Anyone who says they're gaining weight, or unable to lose weight, when they take in fewer calories than they burn is…

Fearing foods because you do not understand them is not the answer either. Not wanting to control the portions you eat of carbs or balancing a carb meal with high fiber choices, proteins, or fats is your choice. An ALL or NOTHING attitude on carbs is not the holy grail. You could also simply get up and lightly exercise…

*rolls up sleeves and proceeds to LOL* You do know butter isn't a carb right? Because coffee causes PCOS and diabetes? *snickers* Coffee isn't a carb and does not cause or affect PCOS or diabetes. WTF for? Next you're going to tell her to drink the magic water 'master cleanse' diet. Prove it. I really have no…

I stopped juice unless I get a blood sugar dip or have a bad cold or flu and I'm having trouble getting my calories in. I used to have juice with breakfast and lunch every day at work. Since I started couting calories, juice is too many calories and carb loads me without making me feel full or satisified. I also stopped…

OP: Thank you for sharing that wonderful story! That's a ~fantastic~ NSV!

Peanut Gallery Advice here: 1. Don't freak out - you're not going to die tomorrow 2. Don't try to change everything at once, that'll flop 3. Eating a caloric deficit will cut carbs for you I DO recommend choosing whole grain, high fiber carbs when you have carbs, but don't be scared of food. Food isn't evil. Food didn't…

Have you read fairy tales growing up? Snow White, for example, is not just a story about a princess with a mean step mom who met Prince Charming. It's a very real psychological profile of a mother-daughter conflict. When the daughter outshines or succeeds the mother, the graceful mother sees that she has done her job and…

I HIGHLY recommend getting a slow cooker if you do not already have one. Even cooking challenged people can make good food out of cheap cuts of meat, root vegetables, and other simple ingredients with a slow cooker. As for saving money at the market: Buy it when it's on sale, not when you need it. Since you're feeding more…

Where did you meet you partner? In a video game, I asked him if he liked to RP. What did you first notice about him/her? He was playing an elf. I was playing an elf. (And it turns out that he loves Tolkien lore as much as I do. fangirl: squeee!) What is their best quality you appreciate? Just one quality? Impossible! But…

My boyfriend works very hard, burns a huge amount of calories every night he goes to work, and does not eat enough to 'bulk'. But, he'll wolf down his food quiet happily and eat whatever is cooked for him. The man eats! He just has a huge calorie burn. This is the man who he is, and the man he was when I fell for him. If…

THIS THIS THIS^^^ The troll is strong with this one!

I don't think anyone freaked out about recommending that a very petite person not try to drop 17% of their body weight in 2 months. I do not think it's wrong to point out to new people when they're in their healthy weight range either. There's a difference between being overweight for your height and just needing to…

. . . I'm going to venture out on a limb here and say, no. For your height and weight, absolutely not safe for you to try to lose 20 lbs in 2-3 months. For your height, you're already a normal weight. If you don't like your shape, exercise for body sculpting, but feed the burn. (That means eat back exercise calories.)

Old Post Is Old! Also creepy! A BF creeps his GF's food diary and asks strangers about it instead of his GF? 2012 . . . they probably broke up by now.

"As you wish." - Westley - The Princess Bride And let's be honest, that movie is packed with some of the best quotes ever said in a movie. Every time I get a "Hello my name is" name tag I finish it with: Inigo Montoya. You killed my father; prepare to die.

I ~totally~ thought of Duck Dynasty when seeing the picture without even reading the description. So, yes, I don't know which guy is which, but the look is legit.

^This! Also, maybe it would be easier for you to see it as a 'weekly goal' instead of daily? Like, I know for sure, I'm not going eat the same stuff every day. So, sometimes I'm going to be over and sometimes I'm going to be under. Don't kick your own *kitten* just because you went over on one day. I had a low Tuesday and…

Well, I'm not a doctor. I only play one on the Internet. I still don't think it's ok though. The OP barely eats 1k a day when it's not TOM, and then she doesn't want to eat at all when it is TOM with a heavy flow? Not ok. *shrugs* But whatever :indifferent:

Get checked for anemia and other blood work. Being female, raised with females, most of my friends are females, and I can tell you right now, that's not normal. If you're bleeding heavy AND not hungry, something is possibly wrong. You need to see a doctor. Your body should be giving you signals to replenish itself. OP, I…

Honestly, I usually sleep through a meal on Saturday and Sunday. Today I did not because I had to be awake for something, but meh! That's usually my ticket. Sleep through breakfast, or I wake up, have something, go to sleep later, and sleep through lunch. :) I'm not eating while I'm sleeping! Zzzzzzzzzz

I would agree, that if it's a surgery that cannot be reversed, I would use it as a last ditch effort for health reasons. There's no way around it; you have to re-train yourself on how you eat. Surgery forces you to do it because you'll have physical suffering if you do not. Do you need to be physically hurt and sick to eat…
