I don't log it and just think of it as a little bonus on the scale. Sometimes I drink a little bit of orange juice during class along with water and sometimes I won't log that either. I figure they cancel each other out a bit :)

You cannot grow additional myocytes (muscle cells), the cells can only hypertrophy (get bigger). Cells can only get so large before they have too much internal size to function well/maintain membrane integrity, so your muscles can only get so strong before a limit is reached.

If I were you, I'd go over your calories today by just a couple hundred (500 should be enough for a decent dinner) and maybe try to get in another round of exercise sometime this week. Or just let it go honestly--a few hundred calories one day will not be your breaking point. Save the treat for tomorrow!

I think you're doing a great job by making small changes slowly to your diet and seeing how it goes. I actually generally don't like to pre-log. It helps to me feel less restricted and more "normal." Plus I think I get a little motivational boost with each healthy decision I make. Different strokes for different folks, I guess :)
