@Orenjisoda I want to be there!!! For the past few years I've been making a pie which most of my non-veg family love too. you make a puff pastry case out of ready to roll pastry (the recipe is vegan if you use a vegan pastry) by rolling it out and scoring about an inch and a half from the edge, the whole way round. Bake in…

Hi! I am 'almost' vegan and a really keen cook so I have loads of variety in what I eat. Breakfast is usuall porridge or a cereal bar. For lunches I tend to have leftovers from the night before - so I make dinners like root vegetable curry, a hearty soup , Moroccan stew with chickpeas and lentils, stir fry with rice…

Hi! I am about 90-95% dietary vegan with just the occasional lapse when eating out. The internet is your friend - there are loads of great websites like fatfreevegan.com. Just take it step by step and don't be disheartened if you mess up. Someone mentioned the PCRM kickstart - Animal Aid do something similar I think and…

My partner and I work mostly like StarrStarr said above. I often bulk cook at the weekends to do my meals during the week - when i'm eating those, he'll have something that he can just stick in the oven or microwave. Alternatively I'll do a pasta dish, a stir fry, fajitas or a curry and he will just add some cooked meat to…

Sorry I don't know any, apart from A4R, that list calories. However, The Kind Diet is a great book to get. Also check out www.fatfreevegan.com which does list nutritional info.

Planning ahead is the only way - and don't drink too much or you'll throw your plan out the window! I had two huge meals out last week but had a very light lunch and did some exercise so I still managed to lose a little bit of weight.

I eat a lot of beans and chickpeas - I make a lovely red pepper and chick pea curry which is lovely on its own without any rice or bread. Also beany chillis and stews make a good filling winter meal. Have a look at my blog http://holdthegoatscheese.blogspot.com for some tasty recipes and some really filling soups too. I'd…

That sounds yum! I like to whizz up fresh berries, rice milk and vegan yogurt :-)

Going veggie is much easier than it ever was before - the step to vegan can be tough and a lot of it depends on where you live ie access to health food stores, restaurant options etc. I agree with a lot of the points above - take it slowly and don't be disheartened if you make a mistake. The Kind Diet is a great book as is…

BBC Good Food site has some great veggie and vegan recipes. Also take a look at fatfreevegan.com - you don't have to be vegan to enjoy delicious vegan food! This week I've had a spicy lentil stew from the BBC site, stir fry with mock duck and noodles, and tonight I'm making pumpkin risotto. Tomorrow night will be vegetable…

I LOVE Graze I've been getting from them for years now. I like using the fruit/nut/seed mixes on my porridge for breakfast and I keep the other snacks for days like today when I'm under calories and fancy something like a few nuts. I also bring them out with me when I'm out walking for my friend and I. Try it - you'll love…

Loads of great ideas on here. If you're in the UK, check out Carol Vorderman's detox books. Try making a fresh tomato and spinach sauce and serving it with wheat-free pasta? Root veg curry with rice. Ratatouille with baked sweet potato. Home made potato wedges with roast veg and salad. Risotto or paella. Roast butternut…

Olives (not in oil) Butternut squash wedges baked in the oven and left to go cold - in fact any cold leftover roast veg - really good with hummous Blackberries are in season now and super tasty

If you prefer something savoury and non-alcoholic, try making a soup with loads of chilli, ginger and garlic cooked in stock and soy sauce. Add a handful of rice and simmer til cooked then loads of greens. Sooo good for you!

Weight Watchers in the UK are renowned for their hideous vegetarian meal suggestions. One was plain tofu with a baked potato but the worse I can remember is plain couscous with tinned baked beans! Gross!
-
I also make my own - I roast tomatoes, onions and garlic in a little fry spray until the tomatoes are bursting. Add to a pot with a splash of stock (depends on how juicy the tomatoes are - just don't add too much!) and plenty of fresh basil and simmer until it's the consistency that you want. you can puree it or not.

What makes you think you need to eat fish, or meat for that matter? You can have a perfectly nutritious and satisfying diet without them, plus lower your risk of cancer and heart disease!

I have porridge every day

Smoked tofu, spinach and chutney!

I just had a lovely dinner - I made a soup out of onions, chillis, beetroot and carrots which I cooked in stock and whizzed up with some flatleaf parsely. I had it with some cooked brown rice mixed in. Really tasty and filling but quite low in cals.

Hi! I mostly eat vegan but have been struggling to lose any weight. I think that any diet can be unhealthy if you eat enough of the wrong things - chips, bread etc can all be vegan - but if you follow a low fat vegan diet then you can't get much healthier. That's what I'm trying to do now and am hoping for a good loss on…

Hi! I've been veggie for over 20 years and mostly eat vegan apart from if I'm stuck when eating out. Baby steps is a great idea - just cut things out until you find a level you're happy with. Be sure to read up on your nutritional needs - I eat loads of pulses like chick peas, lentils and butter beans. I eat loads and…

I've been veggie for 20 years and mostly eat vegan and I never feel like I'm missing out. There are loads of great recipe websites and blogs. have you some decent cookbooks? I'd highly recommend Appetite for Reduction if you don't have it.

Do you mean you want to buy them separately rather than from Graze? Best place to go is a health food store - the one I use does quite a few similar things, although you won't get the same mixes. I'm a huge Graze fan I get a box a week and you get all the nutritional info with them too.

Hi there and well done on a great decision. There are loads of useful resources. you can get guides to going veggie on websites such as the Vegetarian Society, PETA, Viva and Animal Aid. the BBC Good Food site has plenty of great veggie and vegan recipes which are really easy to follow - just use a measurement conversion…
