I make savory waffles. Kodiak protein pancake mix 1 egg Milk or water - depending on your tastes and calorie budget 2 ounces of grated cheese +/- depending on budget Garlic salt Herbs of choice Hot greased waffle iron. It doesn’t have the greasy gooey goodness that the sticks have, but it does have 20+ grams of protein and…

Find the one thing you would either not enjoy, or enjoy the least and carry it around on a plate. Mash up or break off a piece of it so it looks like you are in the process of eating. If people see you already have food, they rarely push more on you. I knew someone who would also do things like take the smallest piece of…

Are you avoiding your 49? Don't. It will be much easier if you use them - All if you can, some if you can't, but use them.

One thing that worked for me was to pre-track my evening snack. I would then work through my day as if those calories didn't exist. If I ate whatever I chose at the end of the day, great - that is what it was there for. If I didn't, then I didn't actually need it. I usually ate it.

I am sharing an opinion, so... Yes.

I'm not saying it's not their decision, I'm just saying I don't understand the logic. People do a lot of fool things that they are perfectly free to do - Doesn't stop it from being foolish.

But not with the same effort that they would be if they weren't holding on to the front of the machine for dear life. I just don't understand the point of setting it to a speed and incline that you can't actually do.
-
Just holding on to the rails doesn't bother me, because people could have balance or coordinaton issues. I DO roll my eyes every time I see someone trying to run at incline 10 and they have to keep a death grip on the display panel just to stay on the machine. If they are holding up 1/3 of their body weight, they aren't…

I would try to do things like exchange your 80/20 ground beef for a leaner cut. Don't go above 10% fat. If you are melting cheese in eggs or soups, use nutritional yeast instead. Look for PB2 instead of peanut butter or nuts, and add it to your shakes. Grab snacks like beef jerky - expensive and high in sodium, I know -…

How much cardio are you doing, and for how long? Do you have pre-workout AND post-workout meals already planned? Are you properly hydrated and do you keep electrolyte balance in mind?

Go to Goodwill, buy a pair of pants that fit, take the biggest ones you own and put them in a box. Repeat this for every 10 pounds you lose, or for every size. When you make it to your goal, keep what you have on the hanger, buy some brand new clothes, and GET RID OF THE ONES YOU HAVE IN THE BOX. This is not to tempt fate…

This is why, hon: The California burrito at Santana's (which you would expect to be high, and is) comes in at 900 cal. But, the grilled fish tacos at On The Border (which you would expect to be low, but isn't) comes in at over 1,100 cal. and makes the french fry stuffed burrito a relative caloric bargain. The crab and…

If the place has a bar or serves booze, you can ask for a small bowl of celery sticks. Salt them and use them to scoop the salsa while you wait for your meal. While there is no substitute for chips, it does give you the salt and the crunch and it will keep you busy till the food comes. You won't feel so left out if you are…

I lost 112 pounds with diet, time, and walking. The bad news is that you will get the occasional look from some idiot who wonders what you are doing in a gym or walking around in public in workout clothes. But honestly, most people won't say anything to you. If anyone actually does, it will likely be a fleeting remark by…

You sound awesome! I used to weigh almost 300 pounds at my heaviest and though I was increasingly active through my weight loss journey, I lost most of the weight without real "exercise". When I got to the last 30 pounds, I had to get serious about working out to get it off, and I am having to get serious about it again in…

I believe the AHA is trying to distinguish between ADDED sugars and naturally occurring sugars. Nutritional labels don't yet make this distinction, so MFP lumps them both together. Naturally the combination of numbers would be higher. The AHA recommends that when you eat packaged food, you choose ones where fewer than 25%…

24.76 hours I made the time, but not my distance goal. Next month I know I will do better. I'll join you guys if you do another.

For me, the enjoyment came only when I could run a mile without stopping or passing out. I never ran. I hated it. That stupid mile around the field in gym? I always walked. What's more, not only was I overweight, but I also had asthma so my lungs would burn and I got a metallic taste in my mouth when I jogged a tenth of a…

Trader Joe's has a brand called Reduced Guilt. Their box mix brownie is pretty good and it has instructions for a single serving. This is perfect for me because if I made a batch of brownies, 1/3 would be gone before the end of the day - especially if they were "skinny". I add 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder or 1/2 teaspoon of…

I'm surprised no one has suggested an electrolyte imbalance. I don't know where you live, but it is frikin' hot where I am. I SWEAT when I walk. What do you eat before you walk? Do you avoid salt in general? Your daily calories sounds fine, and it is good you eat and drink before you walk, but what do you do after? Do you…

Zuccini Spaghetti http://nomnompaleo.com/post/5695132949/zucchini-spaghetti-zoodles-meatballs I own neither the julienne peeler, nor the spiral slicer. I used a mandolin with the julienne attachment. 2-3 swipes on every surface before I start hitting the seeds, and saute. Cauliflower Rice…

Have you tried to focus instead on the macro ratios? Maybe increasing your daily calorie goal so you are not so stressed about making a specific number or under a specific number and focus on making sure you eat a balanced diet, and calories be damned for a few weeks? You could also track every food you eat and then set…

1 ) have you ever tried a dating site? I tried Match and OKCupid 2) were you pleased? Yes 3) would you tell someone to try one? Very yes 4) any bad vibes? There are creepers everywhere. Learn to spot them, meet in public, trust your instincts, if you ever feel unsure about someone, do not meet them. This is not limited to…
