  • 6.93 for me last night - so that makes monthly total so far 48.44.
  • LOL been there when you're puffing away on the last km of a 5k race, and the people who've finished have started running it the other way round!!!!
  • 7.03 for me last night  That takes my monthly total so far to 41.51 miles. Whoop whoop!!
  • I missed the start of this thread, is it too late to join?? So far my mileage for October is: 1 Oct - 3.78 miles 2 Oct - 7.99 miles 4 Oct - 6.52 miles 6 Oct - 5.69 miles 9 Oct - 10.5 miles So current total of: 34.48 miles! Hopefully I'll make the 100 miles this month as I was short last time!!
  • If you're running then I've found the Shock Absorber Run bra to be really good, though they're a bit tight on the band size. You can get them on eBay at reasonable prices, I've bought 2 and they're really good.
  • Well I'm short of the 100, but am planning to get in a 6mile run tomorrow - it's my first club Pub Run - so that will take my total for September up to just over 72 miles. I'm really pleased with that, considering I only started running on 23 May this year!! Well done to all of us!!! :drinker:
  • I've got 3 dead threads in My Topics at the moment, will this be another victim???!!! :ohwell:
  • oooh..... Adjustable weights Garmin Forerunner-watch thingy New hat for horse riding (mine smells really horrible!!!) Something sparkly in tanzanite, diamond or opal
  • Do you mean minutes per MILE or minutes per KM?? I only ask as, having just looked at my Runkeeper app for the run I did yesterday, my average pace PER KM over 6.75km was about the 6:50 mark - but per MILE it's about 10:20. Big difference.... Edit: never mind - have just seen the additional comments in the thread!
  • Good job  And as others have said, no matter what your time is, every time you go out just aim for a PB ! I ran my first 5K race in July in 28:46 and ran my third one last Weds in 26:54. The next one is 12 October and I'll be happy to get anywhere around the same time - lower would be great but even if I knock 10…
  • that's a great time! Isn't it a FAB feeling when you clock a better time than the last race??!
  • I don't know if this will help or not - I've been stuck at the same weight for 4 months. My cals were set to 1300 and I religiously recorded my exercise calories with an HRM and ate them back (or at least most of them). By exercise, I run 3 - 7 miles 4 times a week, cycle to work and back every day and horseride once a…
  • I've been watching this and I agree with the comments here. In one way I can relate to her (oh, one more cake won't hurt etc etc) but I think she does have a more serious problem given the level of denial she's at! Her mouth is saying she wants to change but her brain isn't engaged with any of it, which is presumably why…
  • Well I did my 3rd 5K race last night and knocked 1minute 30 off my previous time, so very happy!!! At the moment my total mileage from 1st September is: 33.58 miles
  • Thanks for sharing, totally BRILLIANT!
  • I'm not a great one for horror films, as I'm the bigges wuss on the planet, but oddly I really like horror books - have read just abut everything Stephen King ever wrote. With his films, I've got about 5 minutes into Pet Sematary and only managed about half of Salem's Lot. Have seen The Mist (OK) and IT - got to say I…
  • Congratulations, those are great times!
  • Only just seen this - is it too late to join?? So far I'm up to: 19.83 miles for September  Wow, didn't realise I'd done so many!!
  • Yup, as everyone has said, you'll be amazed at how you can do this. I was horrified when I saw the jump from 8 to 20 and thought I'd never be able to do it, but once you get there and start you'll find that you can. Don't stress about, just go for it  Half the battle is mental - as they say, "Whether you think you…
  • The first 5K race I did was in the evening.... I hadn't 100% decided to go along - so I did my normal 5K run in the morning (just in case I decided not to race after all) and then I decided to go for it and did the actual race in the evening of the same day!!!!! Got a good time (for me as a new runner) but it's…
  • I found the most absolutely 100% perfect "little black dress" - it was in a "dress agency" shop in a local town. OK I know that "dress agency" is posh for second-hand shop LOL but it fits me brilliantly and it's exactly what I've been looking for. Turns out that new it would have probably cost about £120-£140.... so also a…
  • Ah, deleted while I work out how to make the pics smaller! OK let's try again, hope these are smaller than last time: NB: THIS HAS PICS OF SNAKES, SO PLEASE DON'T LOOK IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM....!! We have four Bengal cats - this is Spice: These are the three boys, Talus, Blade and Naboo: This is Star, my royal…
  • ^^ This. I have been stuck more or less at the same weight since the beginning of June - I have consistently cycled between 136-139lbs. I have always been a "you must eat your exercise calories back" person. However, having recently read Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto, I have recalculated my calorie and weight…
  • This is me too - I started at about 155lbs and am now down to about 136 - but the last 4/5 lbs have taken over 2 months and have been a struggle to shift. My goal weight is around 125-130lbs so a bit to go yet, but like they say the closer you are to goal the harder it is to sort out.
  • Mine is a character from the amazing Wheel of Time series of books by Robert Jordan  There are a few fellow fans on this site!
  • Oooooh I HATE this with a passion! "Can I lend your book?" "NO! I can LEND it to you and you can BORROW it but you can't lend it because IT'S NOT YOURS!" Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!! And there's a Green Giant advert on TV that drives me nuts - it ends with "Makes Mums feel 10 FOOT TALL!" No it doesn't - a foot is singular - 10…
  • I biked 104 miles and ran 66.5 miles
  • ^^^ this (and bl**dy stretch marks) as well and I've never had kids - and at my heaviest I was 12 st 5lbs so not massively huge either!!!!! LOL we're all knackered with crinkly not-firm tummies, wobbly legs and flat boobs - but we'll be SLIM so who cares!!!!!!! And there are always black leggings or long-length…
