Yes you can. I got really sick ( like almost dying) and didnt excercise for almost 2 weeks and I lost 4lbs. I just made sure that I made good food choices and rested to recover. I washed my car and cleaned up my house, thats about as much excercise that i got.

This is true. I enjoy all foods even cheat days and still lose. I believe the key is to continue to workout.

Congrats!!! I know the feeling of fitting into smaller jeans than what you wore in high school.

First and foremost , make sure your body is properly healed. As soon as you can, get off of the machines and pick up free weights. Increase the weights. I love heavy weights. My stats are pretty bad *kitten*

I am 80 lbs overweight and considered obese, but I too love to run. Ok I dont love it, but I do enjoy it. Yes the first several months were really tough on my knees, shins, & calfs. I would have to take a week in between to recover. But, it does get better. My biggest advice would be, * invest in a good pair of running…

You look amazing!!! YEY for WEIGHTS!!!

^^^ I second this!

50 body weight squats? That is great but lets try some with heavy weights. Lunges are also great and bridges. I squat 245lbs and there is no way i can do 50 in one minute. Sometimes its just your genes. I dont have a round perky booty and I will never have one, but i do work out the one i have :) When I lost the weight 70+…

I think sizes have deff changed. But also when you went on a crash diet you lost alot of muscle so your body was still flabby. This time around you have lost more fat, so your body is smaller.

Girlie, I am 80lbs overweight and I have done six 5k's!!!!

It's just tough love. I wish someone was completely honest with me when I kept gaining weight over the years....
-
Yea I tend to gain 1-3 lbs after a tough workout, because my muscles are retaining water. Tell her not to worry, its temporary.
-
I had the same problem, I gained 10lbs in 4 weeks, but then my body started adjusted and i began to lose again. I did incorporate just a little bit more cardio into my routine, but my main focus was still heavy weights. I wear smaller clothes now than when i was doing all cardio.

What is the group name? I would like to join. My max squat weight is 245lbs, and I want to increase it. More Info please

I generally find a good nights sleep and a banana helps me feel awake and energized for a morning workout.

I plateaued for almost a year. So yes change up your workouts and review the diet.

MFP isnt accurate, they over estimate the calories. I would invest in a heart rate monitor for a more accurate count. I compare the two and MFP almost doubles the cal. So if MFP says you burned 800 cal, you most likely only burned 400.. Also add in high cal foods to make up for those extra calories. Such as nuts, avocado,…

20lbs overweight?? That's almost nothing. Try 80 lbs overweight and I've done four 5ks already.
-
The treadmill is NEVER right. Invest in a heart rate monitor.

I prefer that YOU DONT re-rack your weights. That means I have to move 45lb plates up and down, which to me is a workout. More calories BURNED baby!!!!! But seriously I like to rerack weight. It builds my strength!

I use to have a popping noise as well on one knee when in was doing heavy lifting. I went and got a deep tissue massage from a sports medicine dr and after two sessions, it went away. I don't know if this is related to what you expierence but it worked great for me.
-
That's my biggest fear. Getting prego again and gaining the weight back. It's something I think about often. But you did it once, you can do it again!!!!!!
-
I thought they were/ are disposable and you flush them down.
-
Try 2 year plateau. And 1000 cal is deff not enough
-
Just be a little bit more patience. I upped my calories and in 4 weeks i gained 10lbs. After about the 4th or 5th week, my body slowly started adjusting to the extra calories and I started to lose again. I was/ am convinced that I am now losing fat, not weight. Major difference.
-
12 wks, w/ heavy weight lifting. pants starting fitting better, less giggle giggle
-
All these recipes sound good and I love sweet potato fries. Can't wait to try one of these out!
-
me too, i gained about 25lbs back

I have a few of those. A few have emailed me or fb messaged me and said they are ready, and willing to commit. About 2 weeks later I hear nothing from them. They say they want to lose weight but are always checking in to all these restaurants and bars every other day. I no longer answer to thier emails.
