Great suggestions here. I was really happy to discover a couple of consignment shops around town that carry larger sizes. Better quality than many thrift shops, and it's hard to beat the price. I've found several great short-term outfits outfits there. Maybe try to Google it for your town?

you SHOULD be proud for sure. way to go!

I'm totally teary, in the best possible way. I am SO proud of you ... and honored to be along on the journey. Rock on, my friend. :)

Man, WHAT a legacy! My life would be so different if not for Steve and Woz and ... yeah, I'm sayin' it ... Bill. SO much of what I do is on computer. To call the guy a visionary just isn't quite enough. Steve was a bright light ... the light lives on.

Good for you on the exercise! But you're right: if you can't control your eating, you're just not gonna get the results you want. Here are a couple things I've learned on my own journey. Use what you want and roll your eyes about everything else. :) Seems to me it all starts with what you're eating. Consider opening your…

Insanely great!!! Good for you. Seriously: Good. For You. Rock on. :)

Like many others have said, I agree that talking is good. But I'm also wondering if it might also be helpful to look more to yourself for motivation, support and a pat on the back when you need one than to her. Easy for me to say, of course: I'm on my own (and I like it that way). I'm not saying it well, but if you could…

"Wow" just doesn't seem like quite enough. :) Nice work, man.

You don't NEED luck. :) Good job. Keep going!

once again, you win ... and in so many ways. thanks for sharing. :)

I, too, am fortunate to have a sweet MFP support network, but I pretty have to shine a little light on K1Teacher. I've gotten nuthin' but positive vibes, encouraging words and great support day in and day out. Thanks, S. You make this journey better for me. :)

Beyond cool! Can't wait to join you in "onederland". Good job, man.

I've been losing fairly consistently since I joined MFP in Feb. ... think I've had a couple of brief plateaus in there, one for three weeks, another for two, maybe. I have a lot to lose still, and that definitely makes a difference. Here's what I do. Drink a lot of water. A LOT ... as in 15-18 8 oz. glasses a day. Yeah ...…

I'm so in for this one. Than ks for sharing!

I drink 15-18 8-oz. glasses a day on average -- that's 120-144 oz.. I consume water throughout the entire day, with meals and without, while I work, when I walk (my primary method of exercise right now). I'm doing just fine and I feel better than I have in years.
-
Insanely great from start to finish. Well done!!!

I had close to that much to lose when I started a little over 8 months ago. Everyone here is right: if you only look at the big number, it's gonna be HARD. What's worked for me is setting small, easily attainable goals. Every pound lost: win. Every glass of water: win. Every walk: win. You get the idea. :) You can do this.…

I'm with others here. Forgive yourself for the slip-up ... it's not like you can change it now, right? Instead, learn from it. Next time you're tempted, remember how you feel right now. Might be just enough to make a different -- and better -- choice. Forward we go. :)
-
i drink an average of 18 8 oz. glasses of water a day. no ill effects here. :) but -- folks here have many opinions on water intake. do a quick search of the forums for something like "too much water" and i suspect you'll see a number of posts on the topic.
-
I drink about 18 8 oz. glasses a day on average. Not affecting me negatively far as I can tell. :)

beyond cool! can't wait til i'm out of the plus size shops once and for all. congrats -- great work!
-
that's one swell post. good for you ... good for everyone. rock on. :)
-
insanely great. good for you! :)

I did this a couple of weeks ago, too. Heard back from three (which was great), but they're not back consistently. Got to thinkin' maybe that's not as big a deal to them as it is to me. Regardless, I like the philosophy behind reaching out. Sometimes that nudge is all it takes. So go, you. :)

Well done! Our stories are similar in many ways ... I look forward to joining you in the 80+ pounds loss category one of these days pretty soon. :) Stay the course -- you got this!

Yesterday I posted this recipe: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/342003-crisp-fall-veggie-salad I haven't made it yet, but the photo made it look AMAZING and I think it'd be really easy. Not to mention healthy as all get out. :) Have fun!

For me, it's been all about breaking the habit. Mindless eating just ain't allowed no mo at my house. :) I've worked hard to get out of the habit of just going to fridge without thinking about it. Don't get me wrong: I still do it. But I think I'm pretty much to the place (finally) that when I open the fridge door, I ask…
