You're doing great! Love it that you're boxing. Keep on goin'! :)

That's a GREAT NSV -- congrats!

yeah, it can be pretty daunting to look at where you want to get to from where you are today, sometimes. so -- i never do that. for me, it's all about the next pound ... the next size down in clothes ... the next glass of water ... the next time i drive by a fast food joint instead of driving through. :) for me, what's…

You excel at bantering. Also at riding and powering the will to avoid meat. I am a true blue carnivore (which conjures up really odd visuals, come to think of it). Go, you.

Way to go, iron will! Good for you. My fave remedy for burger cravings (I used to LIVE on fast food burgers) is to make my own 6 oz. or smaller burger with lean beef, cheese made with 2% milk, lots of veggies, either no bun or a whole grain version. Still a fair number of calories, but nowhere NEAR fast food joints. And I…

Sweet! Feels good, huh. :) Good for you!

Made me snort out loud. :) Really glad I'm working at home.

Mrs. Dash is great. I also like Low Sodium Teriyaki and Low Sodium Soy ... that's all I get anymore. I can't tell the difference. When you're REALLY ready to break the lunch meat habit, you might think about cooking your own chicken or turkey (or whatever) and slicing it up.

SheehyCFC nailed it. If you can, invest in a heart rate monitor with a chest strap to get a closer idea of how many calories you're REALLY burning. And I encourage you to just let go of the stress. Life's too short ... and there are way better ways to use that energy than letting stress drain it away. Stay the course ...…

junonia.com A bit pricey, but man: do they have great workout clothes in larger sizes.

SUCH a great story!!! Good for you -- you deserve to be proud. Heck, I don't know you and I'M proud of you. :) Seriously: well done. Reaching milestones like this are the best.

Fave post ever. :) Rock on!

Good for you. If your knees start to protest too much, you might think about trying to run in the water (with "trying" bring the operative word :). It's remarkably frustrating because you can't really do it ... but it's great cardio (or was for me, anyway), and way easier on joints. Have fun!

You hungry in the tummy, or hungry in your head? (Ok, that sounds idiotic, but I hope it sorta makes sense anyway.) For me, snacking at night was almost entirely habit -- NOT because I was hungry. Water helps me *really* feel less hungry, but it's discipline the rest of the time. I don't always succeed, but it's getting…

took me a while but it finally occurred to me one day that eating something tasty but not healthy might make me happy for maybe five minutes. NOT eating it, or choosing something healthy instead, is making me happy for the rest of my life. for me, pointless snacking was nuthin' but a bad old habit i had to break. are you…

woooooot! fabulous nsv ... what an accomplishment. you ARE in control ... you've got this. proud of you!
-
You're attitude is spot on, man. You've got your head around the fact that we're not talking diet here -- you're in it for LIFE. That is just SO critical for success. You've got this ... so like Nike says, just do it. :)
-
I invested in the exact same model and am really glad I did. The strap's nuthin'.
-
I can hear the empowerment in your "voice". Good for you (and on SO many levels). :)
-
^^^ This. Best rehab EVER after I had both knees replaced in June 2003. You can get your heart pumping pretty good, too, depending on how fast you walk; water resists speed (but I bet you already know that). :) Go, you!

What about some fresh tomato wedges drizzled with a bit of olive oil, a splash of balsamic, basil and some feta or mozzarella? Pretty healthy, actually ... and really tasty (i had some yesterday). :)

You SO deserve that smile. Nice work!!!

Dang. MFP SOOO needs a like button. :)

holy smoke! insanely great visual ... fabulous results. i'm TOTALLY motivated anew now ... thanks for sharing!

Dizzieferg is spot on: wanting (or not wanting, as the case may be) has nothing to do with it. You choose to go ... or you choose to not go. One of my MFP pals wrote something a while back that has really stuck with me. This journey isn't about motivation, it's about doing what's necessary. And that's about it. Powerful…

If the accountability MFP helps provide works for you the way it has for me ... and about a zillion others ... boy, get ready for happiness. :) Welcome!

Oh, yeah. First time I used my Polar F4, there was a 300+ difference between by HRM and what MFP said ... and the HRM was the lower of the two (much to my dismay). Lots of reasons for that when you think about it: every person is different ... people who have lots to lose burn calories at a considerably different rate than…

Well, great. Now *I'm* teary too. :) How wonderful is that! Good for you.
-
Not sure which is funnier: "penance workout" or "falling into a cheesecake". Hilarious.

and you SHOULD be proud. yesterday's old news ... most of us have had those kinds of days. good on you for runnin' and gunnin' today ... best possible response (except for the whole "it nearly killed me" part. :) you've got this. rock on!
