  • Wow! Awesome work. What all did you do to lose the weight? Maybe there is hope for me! I have hypothyroidism too and find it so difficult to lose weight.
  • Great, thank you all so much!! :)
  • I'm right there with you guys. Second time, to MFP. I gained back 25ish of the original 50 I lost. Bummer, but my fault. I also am trying to lose around 40 lbs. Add me if any of you want.
  • Hi! You can add me... I also need motivation, and I will help you motivate! :)
  • You all can add me too if you want. I am having trouble and need motivation! I'm 42, and I was here for a year and lost 40 lbs over a year ago. ! I went through a hard time last year and gained 25 of it back and I had stopped logging on mfp. What a mistake. I am a a bit heavier than you at 185 and am looking to lose about…
  • Hey! I'm moving to Norway and I need to figure out how to calculate everything. The serving size thing is really silly, I totally admit it, especially reading this thread, but I am used to it I guess. Maybe you can give me advice. :)
  • I just recently got diagnosed hypothyroid and it sucks! It has really messed me up and I gained a bunch of weight really fast. My husband noted how hard I work just to lose a smidgen of weight. Now I'm on synthroid and it seems to be helping. I suddenly have more energy and don't feel achy and exhausted so much. I don't…
  • First of all, it's not about the smokers it's about the smoke. If you read the 2010 Surgeon General Report, you can find tons of information regarding the dangers of SHS, all scientific peer reviewed studies, non-biased. On the other hand if you're quoting the CATO institute...they're a liberatarian political group who is…
  • You all can feel free to add me too. I have been off mfp for about 5 months and am trying to get back on track. I gained over 10 lbs!!!! I will help to motivate you, and I hope you will do the same for me. I am in a rut, have been through a tough situation recently and am ready to take my life back.
  • 6/1- Kickboxing 30 min 6/2- Walking 30 min 6/3- Nothing :( 6/4 Walking 20 min, Kickboxing 35 min Me, my husband, and my youngest son were out on the 2nd walking around our neighborhood with our Weimaraner and a loose dog with no tags ran up to us and started to maul my dog and go after my son a little bit. It was the…
  • I would like to if there is room! :)
  • I would like to try... count me in!
  • Yum! Have been looking for some new inspiration and found it here. I've been a vegetarian for 20 years, and you get into a rut sometimes. I'm looking forward to trying many of these!! Keep em' coming!!
  • You can add me if you want! I hit a plateau this year and got in a cycle of just maintaining. I was burned out on spin classes, the eliptical, etc. We gave up our gym membership to save money and I realized that I must do something! I got a bunch of different DVD's on amazon based on their reviews. I got a couple of…
  • That's true! I'm so sore today I can barely walk from all of the squatting down, lifting/carrying bricks, digging and pulling! Ouch! I still have at least a couple more hours worth left too! It is hard work.
  • Love this! Thank you. :)
  • Thanks everyone! For some reason it never occurred to me to wear my HRM. :)
  • Cardio to get rid of the fat for sure, and there are a lot of great pilates moves you can do to tighten up your lower abs as you drop the fat. I've heard that reverse crunches are really good for toning up your lower belly.
  • After awhile they turn sort of a silvery color and are not all that noticeable. My husband actually thinks they are pretty. I have a friend who has had a lot of success with strivectin (sp?) but it's really expensive! I agree with the person who posted above though, and if you can get comfortable, rock the bikini!
  • Wow!! I can totally see the difference! Great job.... it is really tough, but the results make it worth it. :) Keep up the good work.
  • Awesome!!! Thanks. :)
  • Pilates is amazing for your back... It makes you use your core and strengthens small supporting muscle groups that work in tandem with your large muscle groups. I can't say enough about how awesome I think pilates is and how it's changing my body as well as my ability to pick things up without hurting my back! If there is…
  • Hi! I do Pilates Reformer twice a week and have been doing some cardio such as spinning and jogging a couple times a week. It is totally true that you can tone under the flab all you want, but you won't be able to see it until the fat is reduced. I have noticed that after doing adductor exercises in Pilates and since I've…
  • I have a Polar F4 or something like that.... it's pink. It's easy to use, it comes with a chest strap that is quite comfortable. It tells your heart rate and calories burned. It saves up your exercise time and calories for the week and gives you a report every 7 days. The only downside to this hr monitor is that apparently…
  • Love Deerhunter, No Age, Camera Obscura, Pavement, and tons of stuff which I'm drawing a blank on at the moment. I'm a musician as well, I suppose we play in the genre of "indie rock." :)
  • Today will be day 4 level 1 for me. I'm also doing Pilates reformer 2x per week as well as cardio, but the 30ds is hard! I think the push ups are the hardest for me. Can't wait to see how we all are doing after the 30 days!
  • Hi! Vegetarian for 22 years (although started eating fish once a month in the last couple of years so technically pescetarian). Feel free to add me!
  • Hey and welcome! I'm a mom of two boys. This site is great, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! I see that you're from Ruston. My ex-husband grew up in Ruston, so I've spent some time there.
  • Hi! I am bipolar also. I am very sensitive to medications and have never found a great combination for me. Right now I'm on the Wellbutrin only, but it has made a huge difference. I had taken it several years ago and had a really bad reaction to it right after the birth of my youngest son. I decided to give it another try…
  • If it's available where you are, I have been doing Pilates reformer 2x per week along with my 5x a week cardio. With the pilates I noticed that my back, sides and arms started to be more toned after only 5 sessions! As I go on, my weight loss has been super slow but with the pilates my stomach is getting more fit, and I am…
